My father is co sponsoring my fiancée.

I have a few questions.

My father is not comfortable listing his assets (stocks/bonds/savings)-only his income(which is well above the required amount).

Will this be an issue if he leaves these blank?

Should we put (n/a), leave it blank, and/or write a note explaining why they are blank...

Also, does him not expecting to contribute financially to my fiancée damage our case?

Also, I've been living here in England for the past year with my fiancee and have not made any money or filed my taxes this year...what should I put on my affidavit? I am unemployed and made no money.

Would my 2008 tax return, w-2 be sufficient for the documentation?

Any advice?

if your dad makes over the povertyguide line then he doens't need to list assets, etc... just leave those questions blank.

REALLY? is that right? you only have to list your salary as the co-sponsor if you make way more than the 125% over the poverty line amount they want? GOOD LORD THATS FANTASTIC. I did not want my future father in law to have to write down everything he has because thats no one's business but his. His salary is very high so if he just has to write that then YAY!

And speaking of that also, how would he confirm that salary if hes a doctor? Would he need to provide his income tax returns for just one year then?

This is FINE, the consulate is only concerned with INCOME, if it exceeds 125% then NO assets need to be listed.

Can leave asset lines blank. Writing "NONE" is a false statement, and Writing N/A is also false, he does have assets and the line can apply he is just NOT listing anything.

He is not contributing anything, he is only indicating that the prospective immigrant has support and will not become dependent on the government.

List yourself as un-employed, and yes attach a copy of 2008 return to your I-134. Note UK is not as picky about US Domicile, but I have seen a few posts where visa is held up because the US Citizen Petitioner (YOU) need to provide evidence of US Domicile.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
