Filed AOS papers last week. Post Office says they were delivered on Monday May 25th.

I received NOA1 for the I-485 and it looks perfect!!

When I opened the NOA1 for the I-765, her name was misspelled!!! :crying:

I called to report this and the Government Agent said her Receipt Number was not in the system!!!

He would submit a request to 'fix' this problem.... (45 days to fix THEIR screw-up!!) and took the corrected information about the spelling error. I checked on my copy of the I-765 and everything was correct there.

I tried to set up email notification on the www.uscis.gov web site and neither Receipt Number would register as valid!!!

Should I call back again to report the invalid numbers?? Or will waiting a few weeks fix all this??

Also, what happens if the GC arrives with the misspelled name?? My wife wants to work and has a job lined up ready to go!

It took a couple of months for my receipt numbers to show up on the system so i wouldn't worry too much about that at the moment. As for the I-765 name mispelling, this is for the EAD yes? When your wife goes to have her biometrics taken, she should be able to make sure her details are correct at that point. They asked me to check through all my info - name, address etc - after they'd taken my fingerprints. So you shouldn't have a problem. Same for greencard - she almost certainly will have an interview so she can always bring up the spelling issue at this point and they will correct before they order the card.

Cool, I was worried about the misspelling. An employer could get fussy about even a minor detail and I want everything to go as smooth as possible.

I just got an email from USCIS to confirm the correction so now I hold my breath that nothing else was screwed up while making the change.

The Receipt Number still will not work.... :crying:
