Jeanne, THAT PICTURE FREAKS ME OUT!!!

but Jax...that one you got....aww so sweet :luv:

Annie...sweet pix of the babies..is Nour hair reddish? Please post pix of the bash...how did it go?

You mean to tell me that is your NEW dog? Did you adopt him? He is a nice looking dog but very BIG!

He that your only pet? I am not much for the responsibility of a pet. I can't even make my mind up about a kitten and we had the opportunity for an adorable one, it was free, but I declined. I just can't take on any additional finances or commitments right now :(

I always wondered what color hair our child may have and the texture.. he has that real ethnic jet black, unruly, tight curly, coarse hair and I have straight as a pin, thin, light blonde hair.

Melly thank you for your sweet concern. :luv:

I could use some positive vibes and extra prayers.

Last week it was my oldest daughter who was sick now it is my youngest. Poor little dear has to miss out on today's festivities because she is in the final week of school and everyday they have a theme and do something really cool with the kids. Thank God she got her audition out of the way for Annie yesterday. I hope she gets the lead role of Annie.

She is so spectacular and has the perfect hair and personality for the part. My little redhead...even at 9 she still managed to keep her color and all the women fuss over it.

Charles, nothing doing today for the movies but last night I saw an old favorite. TRUE ROMANCE. That had quite a bit of top actors in it...Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman (my all time fav), Dennis Hopper, and that guy from Sopranos...what is name oh, James Gandolfini and Brad Pitt, I think both of them had their start in that movie.

Blah Blah Blah....just another day

Last night hubby and I tried a Moroccan place for dinner last night. A little pricey. There are about 3 different ones around here. One is Casablanca, then Marrakech and now this Fez. Well I had been the first 2 and they are without a doubt a wonderful true Moroccan experience. The ambviance, the 7 course meal, the belly dancers, the music, the whole bit but this other place....not good. It was my husband's first time too and I was so excited for him to try a "moroccan" place but you know what it was so lousy..so lousy in fact that I complained about every dish that I tasted and I couldn't even eat the dessert or drink the mint tea and I love both of those things! :wow:

I was really upset about it. They all serve the standard 7 course thing so I was able to compare it to the others and it just sucked. But we joked and laughed about it....you live and learn. Sometimes it is best not to go out of your way to try new places and just stick to what you know, ya know?

Hey Nagi, I'll trade you your chilly and rainy for my hot and humid :D

It's only 95 today which isn't so bad but I'm not sure how high the humidity is. Whatever it is it's too much. :P

Of course... I forgot to change out of my long sleeves and socks until about 2 this afternoon. I have to sleep with them on or risk the pesky mosquitoes. Though they seem to bite through my socks well enough during the evening. I got a couple bites on my poor little toes last night.

Okay, sorry, enough whining for me. At least for today.:lol:

Amanda, just wait til the night before the interview!!! :D

Yes, Melly....geez...I don't know what I am going to do...I am going to be a big mess!!

Oh & its supposed to be 90 here today...yuck...hopefully they fix my air conditioner at home today or I am going to have to go hang with my mom tonight!!

I pray all goes well and you get the news you need right away.

Melly, I love the heat but long sleeves with hot and humid?

Mornin Nagi and Jess. 100% and anyone else I missed.

Man if only I was heading into to work and you guys were there....I know we aren't actually co workers but you guys feel them :luv:

good morning and happy tuesday everyone :) I hope its a great day!

I always wondered what color hair our child may have and the texture.. he has that real ethnic jet black, unruly, tight curly, coarse hair and I have straight as a pin, thin, light blonde hair.

We have the same combo between us and you can see, Amirah has (so far) wispy light brownish hair that is straight in front and top but starts a little curl in the back where it gets longer. who knows what it will look like as she gets older.

We tried a few Moroccan places in DC not for the full meals but for one thing here and there, and luckily with my old job I had to have events catered quite often and would use some of these - free food for me LOL! Anyway in the end most restaurants can't even compare. My husband has finally said "enough! You're cooking at home is much better" :star: Such a compliment!

My husband has thick black hair that curls as it grows out - I have typical German/Scandinavian brown hair. Our son has dark brown full hair (not thick but not thin) very sleek like mine. Who knows what will happen after he grows up though..

Morning guys. Hope everyone is having a good day. Went to breakfast with my parents. Will start orientation at Wal-Mart this afternoon so wish me luck. Still looking for full time work though. Farid went to work and gave him some Doans pills, says his back is aching because everyone at work makes him get heavy items off shelves and carry stuff back and forth in the warehouse. I told him that he is young and strong and he made a face at me. :bonk:

Silly rabbit.

he's adorable. and his name fits him to a t. nice work!

have a good day too. i'm going to try to sleep. i've been up late baking muffins.

Send some muffins my way! :D Isn't Angus the perfect name... :star: Angus Young of course  Although at the babies bday party this weekend our neighbors little girls asked, like the hamburger? Yes, of course! :P

Lisa, our new doggie is adopted from a local guy here that is being deployed to Iraq next month so we met him and fell in love. He's HUGE but a big baby. He is only 1.5 years so he's still in the later puppy stages of goofy behavior. And as for Nour, my daughter, yes, she has red hair! It's the most amazing color! I hope it stays that highlighted color but i have a feeling it will get darker and perhaps brown like her Daddy.

The pics in my siggy are some of the pictures from the twins birthday party. We had a photographer take pictures in the beginning of the day. Also, there are some on my hubbys FB and soon mine.

Its 830am...I don't wanna go to work

Oh Jeanne....you know I like to see all the pix, don't stop on account of one...who am I anyway?? someone special?

HLM...per yestedays post...thanks for your well wishes...much appreciate sweetie and I hope you feeling well in your pregnancy.

Jax....that is very nice about the gift, you say you know what it is..what is it??

I just found out one friend was over in Maroc and I kick myself for not knowing before. I would have given her some cash to pick me up a few things....ah,let's see...OLIVES......for one.

Annie, my mother has developed a craziness for boxers. She bought a pure bred one from a puppy, and she died a year ago, within a week she adopted another like 2 years old and then like 4 months later, she found another and now she is up to 2. She loves them. I didn't know they were known to be so kid friendly.

You know hubby is very partial to his very authentic mother's moroccan cooking.

I haven't eaten too many "moroccan" things extensively but even I am a fair judge of something that is good and something that is really lousy. It is really disappointing when the restaurant gets put to the test of a true moroccan visiting the restaurant and they come out feeling very disappointed and wondering if this place is moroccan, how come no one making the food is?? lol

I told them it was really a let down and they can't compare to the other 2 places I have been.

We will eventually try one of the other 2 together and he can at least see that the food is good, maybe not like mom's but it passes the taste buds anyway :hehe:

yes amanda, you would be on edge the night before and day of but with help of Jax, hostess with the mostess you will be in good hands and having a great time to take your mind of your anxiety!

my little girl is off to the orthodontist. She definitely needs braces. Now she is at the age to start and they are going to just evaluate her and see what needs to be done. You know how some kids "want" to have braces, she doesn't and she is a little nervous about it. We have been down this road already 1x with my son and thank god what these dentists can do for their smile but not what it does to the wallet :help:

enjoy your lunches peeps..i am off

Hey guys! I took monkey Malek to the orthopedic surgeon today. They did an xray and said his bone alignment looks awesome. They put him in a purple cast that he lovesssssssss! (I know weird) He will go back in two weeks to have another xray, the cast and pins removed and hopefully will be able to use it again! He actually is lifting his arm up now and you know toddlers there is no keeping them down. He was such a good little patient.

Lisa...Ayman has jet black hair and my natural color is dark dark brown almost black. Malek was born with jet black hair but it is almost like a reddish brown color and is getting lighter as he gets older. I can see with some sun it turning kind of blonde. You just never know what kind of hair your child will turn out with!!

Rosie...good luck at Walmart. My husband had an interview there but didn't get a call back. It was probably a good thing because it was for a cashier and he would probably mess something up!

I can't believe Lexie is graduating Kindergarden!! It seems like yesterday when she was getting all prepared to go! I have a big sixth grader this upcoming year and she is a little nervous about riding the bus with the older kids. She will do great though.

Annie...I'm so glad the party went well. I would have loved to have been there. I can't believe how big the MENA babies are getting. It was like we had a baby boom for awhile!!!

Melly...thanks dear!

Everybody else I am not leaving you out on purpose I swear! You have a great day!

Good Afternoon, Sandrila!

Melly...Nope, I don't think I want your hot and humid weather.....Im seeing mosquitoes now in my culture starved neck of the woods. I got bit on the leg and scratched the area raw.

Hey Amanda....how's it going?

Aymsgirl, A purple cast??? Glad to hear little Malek got a wonderful report!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Its not good that I am this antsy this early. I guess since my calendar changed to June I have the wiggles! Now that I can actually see the interview date on the calendar I am sooooooooooo excited.
