On VJ you have the far right & everyone else so yea that's true here. In RL life its less true... for example most of my friends are Republicans but I can have a conversation about politics with them minus all the rhetoric & BS you see on VJ.

and the far left still outnumbers the far right on vj.

The only far left I see is Randomizer and I think half the time he's just trying to stir the pot. A few others lean left, but I don't see too many "libruls" here. If you look at all of the controversial threads 99% are started by the right wingers (mainly Danno) & Randomizer. The rest of us fall somewhere near the middle.

The 99% statement puts you squarely on the left side of the political spectrum or least to don't have much on an opinion on the left. I looked at your last posts and they aren't exactly balanced by any measure.

BTW, what's your assessment of Obama now on the military and foreign policy? Is he using DIME and where's the hints of success, if any?

My assessment is dead on... Danno & Randomizer create the vast majority of controversial threads (agree or disagree with them, this is the case). As for my posts I have been consistently critical of the Bush administration & I am very much at odds with the (far) right wing mentality of several VJers, but that hardly makes me a liberal... over 70% of Americans did not approve of Bush during his 2nd term & anyone left of Anne Coulter or Rush Limbaugh (both extreme right) wouldn't agree with the VJ Right Wingers either.

As for Obama again its too early to say how effective his military & foreign policy are or will be. I was no fan of the Bush doctrine & firmly believe that the POTUS should use every tool in his bag (DIME... Diplomacy, Information, Military, Economy). As the saying goes if your only tool is a hammer then every problem looks like a nail.

I don't agree with torture, but I can see the argument as to how the perp in this murder could be part of some sort of domestic terrorist group.

After all the doctor was shot in both arms in 1993 by someone who later was found guilty of arson at another abortion clinic.

If there is a connection there - the FBI/Homeland Security should seek it out.
