Well with the laws that were passed after 9/11 making it easier to be arrested on the grounds of terrorism you can be arrested as a terrorist (in theory) for chaining yourself outside a McDonalds.

On the other hand - murdering people you are ideologically opposed to, committing arson and being in possession of bomb-making equipment is a bit of a no-brainer. Its hard to see how that isn't terrorism - even though it may not be "as bad" or as pervasive as the "other kind"

Political dominance runs in trends. Right now it is cool to be a liberal. But after Obama is done increasing the size of government and the US taxpayers take a close look at the United States of America's credit card statement (after he is done "maxing it out") the trend will be conservative again.

A lot had been set ups of radicals with FBI agents/informers where the extremists made plans for some attack and got busted before the phony attack. It's like Precrime arresting you before you commit the offense. We call it sting operation and none had anything to do with peaceful protests.

The only far left I see is Randomizer and I think half the time he's just trying to stir the pot. A few others lean left, but I don't see too many "libruls" here. If you look at all of the controversial threads 99% are started by the right wingers (mainly Danno) & Randomizer. The rest of us fall somewhere near the middle.

I don't agree with torture, but I can see the argument as to how the perp in this murder could be part of some sort of domestic terrorist group.

After all the doctor was shot in both arms in 1993 by someone who later was found guilty of arson at another abortion clinic.

If there is a connection there - the FBI/Homeland Security should seek it out.

Of Course it's possible but not likely, I mean if they are only "striking" once every 16 years.. they really need to start collecting dues from the members to get things moving along.

It way more probable this guy had some affiliation with groups but as he was more radically minded he took things in his hands and struck out on this course of action.

One would expect any extremist to have affiliation with groups that share in the same goal, what I find to be doubtful is that he was in any groups that considered murder as a means to achieve their goal.

Seems logical that this guy would be on footage at rallies or picketing Clinics as no sane person wakes up one day and kills as a first step.

IF we knew this guy had some "ticking bomb" info I'd say waterboard him.

We Waterboard our own guys in training, why not him .....if lives hang in the balance.

One could make the case that he is (I suppose) a US Citizen so the assumed Rights he has is quite a bit different than say people in other countries and under other circumstances.

The 99% statement puts you squarely on the left side of the political spectrum or least to don't have much on an opinion on the left. I looked at your last posts and they aren't exactly balanced by any measure.

BTW, what's your assessment of Obama now on the military and foreign policy? Is he using DIME and where's the hints of success, if any?
