Looks like I am really one day behind you. Got approved on April 18th, and received the same "card production ordered" email this morning. :) Said the card was ordered on June 11th. Hope both yours and mine will arrive soon!

Hey cle_w2000, glad to know I'm not the only one getting this ####### after waiting so long. I am just so frustrated with how these idiots do business. If they actually depended on their customer service for getting new customers and making a profit... they would have gone bankrupt a LONG time ago! :angry:

If we miss our dates, we stand the risk of being denied or other penalties. If they miss their dates... "Oh well!: :ranting:

Anyway... I hope that all of us waiting for our GCs get them soon. I'm anticipating next week... but that could just be wishful thinking! :whistle:

Yeap, it is for sure frustrating. I guess I will not count on the cards arriving next week. With USCIS, I am always counting on the worst, which would be 8 weeks from now. Hey, anything faster than that, I would be very pleasantly surprised.

The CSC center was quite ok, as I remember. I filed my conditional GC application from CSC and it was approved with 3 months and card was received within a week of approval. Guess I had to move to MA to deal with VSC. And it seems now VSC has contaminated CSC too.

Oh well, hope that we all have a good weekend and it is no use to get agitated about. :)

My only issue with the GC right now is that I hope it arrives before August 17th, that's the day I'm flying home on vacation.

I hear you. I'm just hoping that we've already gone through our 8 weeks delay, and the e-mails mean that the actuall GC can show up within 2 weeks.

(I know... I'm trying to be optomistic!)

Ok, notification twice of "card production ordered" seems to be the new norm now.

After I receive an email on June 11 of "card production ordered", I received the second one today saying the same thing.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrivals of my two GCs. ;)

Make an infopass appointment.

USCIS says so:

Permanent Resident Card Production Delays

USCIS is announcing that applicants may experience up to an eight week delay in the delivery of their permanent resident card while we are in the process of upgrading our card production equipment. USCIS Field Offices will be issuing temporary evidence of permanent residence in the form of an I-551 stamp to applicants approved for permanent residence at the time of their interview. You will need to take your passport to your appointment. If you do not have a passport, you must bring a passport style photo and government issued photo identification to receive temporary evidence of permanent residence.

If the application is approved subsequent to your interview or by a Service Center or the National Benefit Center, the applicant should bring the above documents to an INFOPASS appointment to be issued temporary evidence of permanent residence in the form of an I-551 stamp.

I was thinking the same thing, that they must feel guilty about taking so long, so now we're going to get TWO GCs!!! :rofl:

Yes, it is normal. All our correspondance has come from VSC, even though our cases were transferred to CSC! :wacko:
