I'm really considering using BA when the visa gets through to return to Andy. I just would like to know peoples experiances with that airline. How was YOUR flights with BA?

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

In economy there is nothing to choose between any airline with the exception that UK airlines still seem to be offering free booze, while US airlines charge for it.

I liked BA when I travelled to England and back from Chicago. Food was actually pretty good, movies kept me occupied (quite a few to choose from and your own screens to watch on), and the booze kept comin'. :P

I like BA too but have found in the past some of their staff not so helpful. I highly recommend Aer Lingus. I travelled from LA with them. They are great esp if you are travelling with kids. They have a special check in for anyone with kids so no need to wait in a long line, in saying that, they can be quite pricey but worth a look

We booked with BA as it is the only one who still accepts 2 suitcases of 32kgs each, the rest accept 2 suitcases of 23kgs each... This is changing on Oct 11th though, but we're flying on Sept 4th, so still ok....

As they have said before, they still offer free booze, and you can check in online or in the machines at the airport... Then you can just drop off your bags once you're there... I am going to ask whether we can get an upgrade as it is our 2nd wedding anniversary! :P:D:innocent::blush::whistle:

We actually use KLM because it's a Northwest world partner and I've always flown Northwest. In fact, I used to travel the US as an events promoter practically every weekend so I had enough free miles to get all the way to Newcastle and back last year.

Northwest has a hub in Detroit so we fly Newcastle to Amsterdam directly to Detroit. It cuts out the stops in NY and NJ and so far, touch wood, it's worked for us.

Good luck

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Good luck out there!

I have flown with BA 3 times, twice was ok although the food is the same as it has been for the last 2 years...but one time flying with them my son asked for a drink of water and we were told we would have to wait...we ended up waiting for nearly 2 hours, i wasn`t impressed with that at all, but i am thinking that was a one off......the staff have been quite friendly the other times. I have found Virgin very good and the staff very helpful

If I had a choice, I would always pick Virgin without a doubt. I've never had a good experience with BA, but compared to some of the US airlines, they're probably not so bad. If you plan to make many more trips, don't forget to enrol in frequent flyer programs to gain airmiles that can often be redeemed against the price of tickets, or what I do is opt for upgrades every time. Makes a whole lotta difference sitting up front on a long flight.

flyertalk.com is a great resource for info about airlines and seatguru.com lets you check out the best and worst seats on a plane.

I have flown both BA and Virgin...and I have to say that I preferred Virgin. Nowt completely wrong with BA...still gets you from A to B, but their staff at MCO was rude & unhelpful to me.

Virgin's staff seemed to fall all over me trying to make it the best flight ever, which it was every single time I fly them.

I have used BA a few times, they get you to your destination, no frills, but then again, no frills with any "Economy" seat any more

BUT whoever you chose to fly with, I hope you have a good flight :yes:

I wish I had a choice for direct flights (I hate stopovers..ewww) to Charlotte but alas I have a choice of ONE airline

I had a choice of ONE to get to RDU (Raleigh) as well which was AA and they were GREAT *and* the flight was rarely full so I could get 4 or 5 seats to spread acorrs and sleep.

But US Airways to Charlotte the flight is usually PACKED :(

I've never flown with BA - and I've put in more flight hours than most travelling round the world, lol - cos they were usuaully WAY more pricey than everyone else - Virgin were excellent tho - and for a top flight recommendation from a few years back Thai Inter were amazing.
