IMBRA RFE for K3

in my haste to mail it off at the post office, i spaced out and forgot to waive the signature. luckily, it worked and i could confirm at usps.com that they got it two days later, complete with the name of the guy who signed for it...

now if they could just go ahead and approve my petition, that would be Really Frickin Excellent (RFE).

lol yes i waived hte signature. I was worried too. lol. The postal lady is like "Is that a safe place". I was like "yeah its immigration office"

But in case the government doesn't appear to be proceeding logically or expeditiously, just remember there are other, more reliable patterns to observe. The stars in summer, for instance. The migration of Canada Geese in Fall. The second chin I'll develop from drinking beer if there's no K3 by Thanksgiving.

Although we are processing K3, we still sent the I129F (thinking it would be faster..yeah right) we did receive the IMBRA but it was regarding our I129f. Reced July 2, 2006 Still sending back just to cover bases

I'm new to this site and have been pouring through threads regarding IMBRA. I was married in Philippines on April 24 and mailed the I-130 petition on June 16 (to NSC), but no NOA1 or check cashed yet. I'm planning to do the K3 visa and will soon follow-up with the "new" I-129F when the I-757 form arrives.

My question regarding IMBRA and question 19, how have those who made contact with their spouses/fiances via an internet dating/introduction site been answering this? I actually met my spouse indirectly, not directly, through an internet introduction website contact from back in Oct 2003. I "joined" the site for one month only, long enough to meet someone and transfer our conversations to Yahoo Messenger. It was through this introduction I met my new spouse, who was a relative of my original contact. Do I answer Yes or No? If, yes, I have no address for the "broker", but have the website info. Additionally I have absolutely no criminal or abusive conduct history, so if the purpose of this new legislation is to be certain that the "broker" has my character information to pass on to the prospective spouse, isn't it a little to late for that? This "broker" has been long out of the picture for us.

I haven't located any specific detailed advice as to how some of you have been responding to this question. In fact with the reported delays for K3s, maybe I'll wrap up the I-130 quickly, which would be just fine with me.

Thanks Jersey Girl for the link to additional IMBRA information. I was not aware of this new legislation having just initiated the process with my I-130 just 3 weeks ago. I had looked at the new I-129F and noticed the question regarding marriage brokers, but quickly dismissed it as not applicable to me. I'm going to answer question 19 as "yes" and will explain in detail just to prevent any possible misunderstanding. I hope it doesn't create a misunderstanding in the process.

I was still uncertain how the existing introduction websites were handling this issue, so I consulted the website where my introduction occurred way back in late-2003. I hadn't visited that site in over two years. There is no mention of the new requirements. However, I checked another site who has very explicit detail regarding the effect of IMBRA on how they now conduct business. This information clearly has convinced me to answer the question as yes. I'm not sure if the actual URL where I found this information can be mentioned within this forum, but I'll share it if anyone is curious.
