Does the date of responce on an RFE surpass the the time frame given on I-130

Hello all;

I've got a quick question. We received an RFE (request for evedince) on our I-130 back in April. The letter stated that it can take anywhere from 14 days to 60 days to receive a responce. Since in two weeks from now the full 60 days will have come & gone, my question is the following. Does the new time frame given on the RFE surpass the one given when we originally filed the I-130?

Did you receive confirmation of any kind from USCIS that they received your evidence? or did you track your return evidence to USCIS to see who signed for it???

For the time frame, you have till the date on the RFE to respond back to them. Its usually 30 days from the day USCIS issues the RFE.

Of course I received a confirmation of receipt. I think you misunderstand my question. Does the 60 days given by VCS to review the RFE surpass the original I-130 time frame or not.

No, do not think so. Glad you got receipt, dont need USCIS saying we dont have your evidence. Only reason I asked. Good Luck on your journey.

don't trust anything they say.. even the people at the consulate said at most 1-2 months for my AP.. now it's over a month, closing in on two.. nothing is going to happen.. you need to follow up yourself and not trust into the replies they give you..
