umm I personally would only give advice to someone who clearly stated what their scenario was, and i know others and myself in the past have sometimes mentioned if we thought something was illegal not to do it or face the consequences. I strongly believe that this site isnt really a site for legal consulataion and if someone thought their case was difficult then they should seek legal counsel and I have seen many posts where other members have suggested to OP's that they think it best to seek legal council. Its basically if you post here you have to be able to deal with what you get. Me personally if I thought something was fraud and would show red flags - I would say so - but then again thats my opinion I dont know the true nature of the person's case.

The way I see it - don't give advice that advocates anything illegal... as for whether it is visa fraud... well I hardly think I am in a position to make an informed judgement on the basis of questions asked... sure somethings may sound suspicious - but no one can really know what is what... if you stick to answering what you know is right/legal then I think it is ok... truly none of us can really make an informed judgement - only the Embassy can.

I guess my stance on it is that even if I have doubts about ppl's relationships it isn't my place to say.....can we really tell by a few online stories/interaction? so I figure give the correct info and leave ppl to figure out their own relationships.

if I think someone is frauding - I will soo point out the inconsistancys. I never cater to anyone

doing anything of a fraudulant nature. like when people are trying to hide picks of their Religous wedding. then pretending like it did not happen, in order to come on a K-1 visa. that to me is fraud. that stuff right there works my nerve. those kinds of people need to get CAUGHT!!!

The US immigration system is already rife with fraud, corruption, absconders, illegal aliens, etc. Why would any citizen help yet another crook to jerk off the system? I certainly wouldn't help these people to lie their way into America. Why would anyone want liars and cheats to be their neighbors?

It still amazes me that we have government officials that want to allow millions of illegal aliens to become US citizens after breaking numerous laws (including identity theft, document fraud, etc., etc.).

I have to admit-and I am opening myself up to flames-that there are some stories on here that make me go UMMMMMMMM for various reasons;

.....And some stories that make me say " Why did they just tell everyone that? -as in all the personal stuff that gets posted from time to time....some of it is WAY TMI.

Forgot to answer the question-No way in Hell-we have enough losers here already without importing more "crooks" like peejay said.

Since this is a completely public forum, and that it's SO easy to lie over the internet, there's really nothing anyone can do, necessarily, to withhold advice from people who would abuse the system or misuse the information. BUT... VJers seem very straightforward about their opinions. If someone posts a story that seems fishy and full of red flags, they're called on it and asked about it usually, at least as far as I've seen.

Personally, I have read some stories where I chose not to offer any advice just because it seemed to have lots of inconsistencies or I felt suspicious of the poster's motives, based on what s/he wrote. I can't think of anything specific now, but there have been times.

I think its a judgment call on everyones part. I dont think its fair to say who should and who shouldnt be helped in VJ, basically, anyone with any immigration prob can come and post for help, its up to others to grant that help or not.

Well, I want to respond to that, but then I'll let this topic lie as far as us. I have no more a desire to get into it all again, than you do to read it again. Plus, Craig's trip to England has resolved a LOT of things, and we're doing just great. We both felt, at different times, with Craig starting that thread in fact that we just wanted to vent. I don't remember even soliciting advice either, it just happened, as it will on any thread like that. Neither of us had a problem with it, so why should anyone else, ya know? IMO, people can start threads about whatever they wish; people can read it or not. If it was something iffy I was wondering about 'airing' I always asked Craig if he minded first, so it really wasn't a biggie. I just used it as a place to let off steam, and also talk about the good moments. In retrospect, yes, it was a mistake. I don't believe that because of what I wrote however, I believe that because I got advice I *wasn't seeking and didn't take it well. Just as I said, I have a right to post whatever I wish, so do you have a right to respond however you wish and I admittedly wasn't prepared for some of the responses. People get a bit too hasty and judgemental at times as well tho. (as in some of the ridiculous remarks like 'is he even THERE anymore, and did you really do this or do that, where's a current pic of you??etc") As I said, I won't bring it up again, just wanted to say that in response to your post. Simply;

I agree with the fact that some “members” on here, are HIGHLY suspected as FRAUDS!

Yet,…..it’s NOT up to us members to accuse / judge anyone for that!
