That's not what I asked tho....would YOU help someone out with the process if you felt it might be visa fraud on their part?

The US immigration system is already rife with fraud, corruption, absconders, illegal aliens, etc. Why would any citizen help yet another crook to jerk off the system? I certainly wouldn't help these people to lie their way into America. Why would anyone want liars and cheats to be their neighbors?

It still amazes me that we have government officials that want to allow millions of illegal aliens to become US citizens after breaking numerous laws (including identity theft, document fraud, etc., etc.).

Thanks for adding spice to this thread...when ever people use the words

"illegal aliens to become US citizens " that always makes a thread- spicy!!!

The way I see it - don't give advice that advocates anything illegal... as for whether it is visa fraud... well I hardly think I am in a position to make an informed judgement on the basis of questions asked... sure somethings may sound suspicious - but no one can really know what is what... if you stick to answering what you know is right/legal then I think it is ok... truly none of us can really make an informed judgement - only the Embassy can.

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

It doesn't matter if we think that is fraud or not... we are not in a position to decide which way it goes... No matter how strong we feel about it... This is my opinion... I think people don't like being told their home truths, and even less if it means that the person they love is being judged...

So bottom line, I think we should be discreet and use our common sense...

I agree, but I think most of us here know enough to know when something is "fishy".

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck...

It must be a duck!

I guess my stance on it is that even if I have doubts about ppl's relationships it isn't my place to say.....can we really tell by a few online stories/interaction? so I figure give the correct info and leave ppl to figure out their own relationships.

pardon me!

Sorry to interupt!

BUT YOUR avatar is so funny~~

Even if we are not so sure about something that could be fraud or not, just the hunch of the possibility of someone getting hurt in anyway should be enough to keep ourselves quiet.

That's not what I asked tho....would YOU help someone out with the process if you felt it might be visa fraud on their part?

If we suspect something is not quite right, we should't hesitate to ask pointed questions relating to their questions. We just had this young girl (17) the other day who said she's about to turn 18 from the UK and met a guy online just a couple of months ago and was already asking about the K-1 process. She never posted his age but somebody PM'd her to find out the guy was like 24 and she indicated he had "problems but was working them out". Even though the girl wanted advice on the K-1, in that case I think it was more than appropriate to question her about the relationship.

nope. not in the slightest IF fraud was intended and openly spoken about. otherwise i dont know how we would know.

example: OH, i failed my drug test, i want to just throw out these medical results and retake to submit to the consulate

Suspecting fraud or no fraud?

If people ask for help or opinions I will (try) to help them out anyway!

Why?

Simply;

I agree with the fact that some “members” on here, are HIGHLY suspected as FRAUDS!

Yet,…..it’s NOT up to us members to accuse / judge anyone for that!

We’re all adults here, when the frauds been found out by one of the government agencies (FBI / CIA), then it’s THEIR OWN responsibility for whatever consequences that’s going to result in,….not OURS!!!

the op sounds like a loaded question, as the tos states:

By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree that when using the Service, you will not:

Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method.
