Hi all,

Glad to see the approvals coming in.

At the risk of judging too soon.. It looks like it will be a smooth process for us from here on out. Our case only spent a few days at NVC and was off to the US embassy very quickly. And my fiancee received Packet 3 yesterday!! Woohoo! :) Looks like I may be returning to Japan to visit sooner than I thought!

Good luck to all!

Regards,

Deryck

My fiancé received the NOA2 hard copy on August 28 and it has the date August 25 but until today, the NVC says that they still haven’t received our case. I wonder what went on when those who were approved after us and the ones who have the same approval date as ours, their cases are already in their respective embassies. I really would like to attend the wedding of my fiancés sister on October 24 but right now, I wonder if that’s still possible.

We had back to back touches as well. Nothing since. We won't be really sure of anything until we get something in the mailbox. USCIS online status is mostly frustrating in our opinion and we've agreed to resist checking it all.

We still have hopes for being together in November. If we get our NOA2 this week, it could still happen ...

... so, we hope.

Never discouraged, just frustrated.

07 Dec 08 - We met.

24 May 09 - We were engaged.

22 Sept 09 - NOA 2. Letter in mailbox.

21 Oct 09 - Interview, approved.

26 Oct 09 - Visa picked up at FedEx.

1 Nov 09 - US entry.

7 Nov 09 - Wedding day.

3 Dec 09 - Mailed AOS package.

I don't know if any of you have had a request for further information.. But I did and I sent back the information, they sent me an email on the 18th saying they had received it and will start processing again... I have checked my case today and it was 'touched' on the 21st? What does this mean?? That they are looking at it again???

Sorry for being an idiot and asking a simple question I'm just not sure because the email said it could take up to 60 days to process......

Thanks..

Approved! On to the next pile of papers and the next government agency. :)

Got the mail today. The date on the letter is 9/16. The touches were 9/16 and 9/17. The USCIS site status still shows 'initial review.' Good luck to all who are still waiting. It does come to an eventual end.

Cheers!
