hello Everyone, I just received an email from USCIS that my petition for I=130 has been approved. Im still awaiting for the hard copy. Since i don't have the hard copy yet, i want to start ahead. Can anyone tell me what are the documents that are required? so that i could prepare for it while waiting for the hard copy. Thank you...

Hi,

First of all congrats :)

Secondly, i guess u r talking about K3, not K1? If thats the case, i am sure there is a June 09 filers K3 CSC topic separately so i am afaid u will find more info there. Besides, this site contains lots of guides and FAQs sections so i am sure u ll find more info regarding next steps on yr case there

GL and cheers

Hi again everyone,

Congrats on all the NOA2 approvals!!

I wanted to mention that I called NVC today, one week from my NOA2 approval, to check on the status. They had already received, processed, and mailed it out to the US Embassy in Tokyo. woohoo! Things are moving fast now... :)

Just a heads-up-- If you call NVC, have your USCIS receipt number and both you and your fiancee's names, birthdates, and e-mail addresses handy. They used these to verify my call with the paperwork they had.

Good luck to all!

Regards,

Deryck

So I had the lawyer call the USCIS today to see if he would have any luck getting information on our case... Here is what the agent on the phone said:

She also stated that your petition is currently in the pre-adjudication area, and has completed the “mailroom stage”, ‘tracking stage” and “automated system” stage.

That kinda sounds like we are in the batters box... I guess that is a good thing. :)

On a sad note here is some other information the agent shared...

Greg, the agent mentioned that they expect a backlog due to “reassigning of agents” as a result of economy and adjustments thereto. She did state, however, that they are implementing “innovative measures” to keep deadlines, and thereby maintain their prestige and commitment to us.

we didnt hear anything from USCIS.......

waiting is really sucks! we are hopeless now. :crying:

I have questions, what is Touch? Touch what?

Hang in there YubaQ - focus on the day you and your fiance are together again. It's hard I know but your love for each other will get you through this.

A touch is when the date changes on the USCIS website for your case. Just put your WAC# in and your case status will pop up and you see the date the case was reviewed.

Good luck - and keep the chin up

Interview ... WAIVED? Never heard of this, but they didn't even interview him, just told him pick up his visa the next day.

Current Status: Interview ... waived ... I guess :) They just took his fingerprints and documents and told him everything was in order and he should pick up his visa tomorrow! WOW

I can't believe it's only been 7 months since we filed ... seems like an eternity!
