When I first came here I was so surprised it rains but is still hot and humid!! I got used to it now. I find Florida hotter than Cairo because it's humid, Cairo is dry. Yesterday we went swimming for exactly 15 minutes then it started thundering and raining. We're going swimming today again though :P

So far, I have gone swimming, fishing, attended 5 birthday parties (including mine and John's on one day), attended a funeral, went to the flea market, went to a mosque, went to a church, tried playing baseball, went jogging, went to the international food store (so many goodies to choose from), etc. I'd say I am adjusting very well and I really like it here in FL.

Which part of FL will you and Thuy be?

Happy Father's Day to all the daddies in the thread. :)

Aya

Near Ft Myers.. SW Fl... If it starts raining.. wait 20 minutes and the sky will clear up... its the Fl Summer routine... I grew up in Palm Beach... in a couple of months it will get really hot.. Aug and Sept are the hottest months here...

My father-in-law said something about a new USCIS office in Fort Myers, is that true?

I know!! The world is small! :D

Tell Thuy she has a friend close-by already when she arrives here. I would love to meet-up with her. :)

I'm going to PM you my email address to pass it to her, if she likes to get to know me before she arrives.

OK Everyone!! we have great news!! John's Adjustment of Status was APRROVED!! TODAY 7-13-10... AT 2:00 pm. In San Antonio, TX. Officer Guerro with Homeland Securtiy asked many quesitons of past relationships, any kids, how we met, why we love each other and where will we be in 5 years. After a few tears of gratitude and expressions of our obvious love for each other, he granted him temporary residency, we go back in 2 years - show proof of ongoing relationship then again 10 years after that. We are truly blessed!!(L)

Last night they did the investigative calls from the consulate we have been waiting on ...

me 30 minutes

my ex?

MIL 30 minutes

Thuy 70 minutes

now that they have completed that segment, we should get a decision this week or next.... about time...

speaking of time.. 11PM is a great time for a consulate to call for an OTP interview huh?
