Hello June '09 Filers!

Can't believe it's been a year since we all started this journey! I have you all in mind often!

Scott and Thuy, you guys are so strong, I can't wait for both of you to start your life together! (F)

I've been here in FL for a little over 3 months now. We got married on May 3rd and applied for SSN on May 4th, still no SSN yet. We've been busy with so many things since my arrival, and I-94 expired before we got to send AOS (I read Chris's "I-94 Expiry" thread many times for reassurance that we are ok for sending AOS after the I-94 expired :) ). The AOS packet should be off next monday. We will be June Filers for the next time around. :)

Wendy and John, congrats on your beautiful grand-daughter!

Scott and Thuy, Wendy and John, Chris and Zhanna, Warren and Cindy, Kim and Matk, Loveaboo, Nwaniyoma, Clay & Mila, and all the June Filers regular posters...thank you for sharing this journey and your experience with us! Keep this thread alive and keep us posted with your adjustment experiences. :)

I know I will be sticking around here cheering for Scott and Thut and celebrating their reunion in the US very soon. (F)

Are you getting used to the rain every afternoon yet? Does it feel like the same heat here in FL?

When I first came here I was so surprised it rains but is still hot and humid!! I got used to it now. I find Florida hotter than Cairo because it's humid, Cairo is dry. Yesterday we went swimming for exactly 15 minutes then it started thundering and raining. We're going swimming today again though :P

So far, I have gone swimming, fishing, attended 5 birthday parties (including mine and John's on one day), attended a funeral, went to the flea market, went to a mosque, went to a church, tried playing baseball, went jogging, went to the international food store (so many goodies to choose from), etc. I'd say I am adjusting very well and I really like it here in FL.

Which part of FL will you and Thuy be?

Happy Father's Day to all the daddies in the thread. :)
