No updates for us this week... 'Case is Pending Consular Officer's Final Review' still... John calls DOS almost every day and I email the Consulate once every week... I hope next week is carrying good news for us!

How are you two? I hope all is well. The only thing left for us is for the Lagos Consulate to reply my fiancee's email for the date he chose to come and present the additional documents needed. Other than that Im hoping for the best for me, you, and other waiting for the issuance of our loved ones visa :innocent: . All the best.

Scott, only 8 more days to go until Thuy's interview!! :) Is she ready?

I dont think she is ready, but she says she will be... the stress is causing her to make silly mistakes... she left 300usd in her desk at english class the other day. now thats gone.. I keep emphasizing that it is no big deal in the whole scheme of things... focus on the preparation and forget about the lost $... 7 days from now she will be waiting to get into the consulate... god willing she will be here in 17 days

This process is getting tedious...my fiance was called to the embassy...we were all excited thinking it was to pick up his visa in his passport but they just asked him to sign some documents that I guess they forgot to have him sign @ the interview! :angry:

Nwanyioma and YKJ, I feel for you ladies! We're in the same boat...

We haven't gotten a reply to our email this week yet (We sent it Saturday, and Cairo Consulate works Sunday) and haven't been able to talk to a representative from DOS, all the numbers are busy... I guess we just have to hang in there...

I have asked her every question I can find and she knows everything.. I am so surprised.. she knows more about me than my mother does.. :thumbs:

She says she is at her mothers house for the peace and quiet to prepare everything.. I think it was the right decision as she has everything spot on in order... the only possible issue is misunderstanding a question, so She will have a translator translate the questions just to be sure she understands the meanings... she will do the interview in english.. with the interpreter backup...
