Hey everyone! We have an interview date! Its Dec. 21st, and the medical is the 14th. We could have had it as early as Nov 14th, but I want Joseph to have enough time in the Philippines to get all of his paperwork together. I also want him to be with his family for Christmas... So, Hopefully we get our christmas gift early :) A pink slip!

Great news Megan.. I am hoping we get that same date as well.. if not a few days earlier... I am going to call again this week and ask if it has been scheduled...

It will come in time. Have you called NVC to check to see if they forwarded your case to the embassy yet? Stay positive!

Aproved!!! I'll write more later, at Sydney airport

Well I’m home in Melbourne and I’ve slept lol was really hot in Sydney yesterday was in the mid 30's (mid 90's F) was so glad to finally get home to a cooler Melbourne, plane was delayed by 45 min ><

Day started early, bed in the hotel was hard so didn't sleep well was up about 3am, no internet as they say it was working but nothing would download (spent an hour or two the night before with the tech ><) watched some TV until about 6 then hunted down some breakfast, ended up at McDonalds, ate that and returned to my room, door wouldn't open, back down to reception, he does something to the card, back up, still no joy, back down to reception, says sounds like the battery is flat in the door (omg is this how the days going to be like, i start to think) he comes up with me and opens the door say I'll have to come get one of them to open the door till they can get the battery replaced later (#######?) so i get ready for the interview.

I check out at 9am and store everything at reception but the paperwork and my phone, head to Consulate and get there about 9:15am get to reception and they say I need to check in my phone there (level 10) paper work goes through x-ray me metal detector, get sent to level 59 and take a number for k visa and sit down and wait.

What seems like an eternity later (15 min?) I get called to a window, girl asks for the stuff they ask for in packet 4 (passport, 3kg return address satchel, receipt of payment for visa) she takes my finger prints and asks me some stuff, she says to go back and sit down and that I’ll be called to another window for the interview soon.

Another eternity later (30 min?) i get called to another window, give another finger print (just one and told to raise my right hand and swear that what I tell her is the truth. she asks me questions, most of which if written on the forms, like where Cindy lived and what she does for work, how we met, what interests she has, general stuff. then she got me to sign the form and she said those magic words "Visa approved"!! I was shaking when i left and very emotional, got my phone back, talked to Cindy told her the news, rang my parents, and inform a multitude of people both in Australia and in the US.

So the day started out bad, but the middle bit, though nerve racking, turned out good :D

Hello everyone! Seems like everyone is in a waiting period, so we havent really been writing much. Joseph booked his ticket to go home to the Philippines, he's leaving on the 12th, and our interview is the 21st of next month so that gives him just over a month to get everything he needs. I pray to god he has all the paperwork he needs from me. I will have to send him updated pay stubs but thats about it I think.

Scott, how is Thuy doing? Ive been trying to find your thread but I cant seem to find it. I think of you two often.

Well, hope everyone is having a good week.

<3 Megan

Mila has her Interview tomorrow. She is calm as can be. I'm the one getting nervous. I guess it's because I won't be there. It's the same feeling as when I mailed the I-129 in. Did I remember to send her everything she needs? haha. I'm sure everything will be fine. It's just hard not being there. Hopefully it will be a great Christmas.
