There appears to be an issue with VJ (or VJ's domain host) caching MX records for an insanely long time. I changed mine over 48 hours ago and VJ is STILL sending mail to my old mail server. Do you know anything about this Captain? It's annoying and I can't shut down my old mail server until VJ starts using my new mail server.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

we have a ttl of 4 hours. Not sure why it would not be picking things up faster.

Something is definitely amiss. It looks like VJ is possibly the only site that is still sending mail to my address using my old mail server...

Not sure what to say... Sometimes DNS prop takes time. We update every 4 hours but our master name servers may not have gotten the updates. I think technically it can take a few days max.

I still noticed the same problem after about 4 days so I talked to your domain host. They verified that my old MX records were, for some reason, still being seen or cached by the BIND service running on the VJ server. A restart of BIND fixed the problem.

If I have a subscription to forum B, and a thread is moved from forum A to forum B, I do not receive a notification. It seems like I should.

Ever since I updated to the latest Adobe Shockwave Player, I can no longer view embedded videos on either VJ or Expats. It does not seem to be a problem anywhere else, except here. Here is an example:

All I see is a blank box where the video should play with a small square icon in the upper left hand corner.

Not sure, I see it... :( Try a different browser or re-install maybe.

I am using Adobe version 10.0.42.34 and IE8.

I may add the chrome browser later and try that. Funny that it works everywhere else, except for VJ and Expats. I don't think I disabled embedded videos at both sites, or even how I would do that.

This is pretty minor, but should be able to be fixed easily. When clicking on Visa timelines from the country portal page:

http://www.visajourney.com/portals/index.php?auto=1

it takes you here:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...%2C28&cfl=0

This shows everything for Thailand which is good. When you click the enable advanced mode link:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...?cfl=0&op3=

It shows all countries, when it should only show Thailand. Just FYI.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
