Vaccine requirements for K3 visa?

Can anyone please tell me if I am right or wrong regarding the vaccination requirements for a K3 visa.

As far as I am aware for the K3 visa you just need to have the medical done without vaccinations, and when you adjust your status in the U.S you will then need the required vaccines. I have read this on numerous web sites including Dept of State web site. The medical examination form for people having medical in London also states it is not required for K3 visa, only when you adjust status in U.S.

The reason why I am asking is because I did not get married in UK I am having to have my medical and interview in Jerusalem. The doctor seems to think (and is basically saying I HAVE to) have the vaccines now or they will refuse my K3 visa. The 2 vaccines they want me to have is Varicella and HPV. Whilst you may think why not just get them done now, I would rather not put things into my body if unnecessary now. Also the cost is very high and if I don’t need them I don’t want them. When I adjust my status I may be over the age limit for HPV anyway but I am not now.

Very hard to get in touch with Jerusalem embassy but I have emailed them and will be waiting for a reply (if I get one) for about a week but I wanted to know what you guys think?

Also they say Varicella is Chicken pox is that correct? I have told them I had chicken pox when I was little but they seem to think I have to have the injection for that now too.

I know CR1 is better overall but for my situation K3 would be ok so im not asking for peoples opinions on that!!

Thanks 

I'm applying for my K3 in Canada and it was required to complete my Medical examination that I get the vaccines required for my age group either before or on the same day of my medical exam. They also wanted to know the specific year that I had chicken pox. If I did know the year, then I had to go in for a blood test to confirm that I had it.

Hopes this helps :)

We filed a K3 in Mexico. Vaccinations were not required for us, only during the adjustment of status process in the US. However, I did make sure my husband took all his vaccinations in Mexico, so we would be ready for AOS process and save time, and vaccinations are free in Mexico (so we saved big bucks).
