so i thought i would post on here about my experience emailing the montreal consulate. I have heard from this site that it could take 2 weeks for them to email back. Well I sent them an email about getting my interview date pushed back and they emailed me two days later with this:

"It has been noted on your file, if by any mistake you receive a interview prior to that date, just let us know and we will reschedule.

Thank you"

Wow i am impressed. i thought i might get a big song and dance about why i wanted it pushed back or that they would say too bad or something. So for anyone wanting to email them, it doesnt seem to be a hassle at all. i just put my case number in the subject line like they asked for.

I'll be lucky to make it to the interview. things with fiance are still not ok. but it will be good news for someone else to have their date that much sooner if i dont.

I personally have never had a problem emailing Montreal. I have found that if they have an answer to give you, they send it to you promptly. If they don't have an answer at that time, they email you when they do. :)

Glad to hear that they were able to help you with pushing your date back. I hope things with your fiance work out soon. :)

I've emailed the consulate in Montreal once. They got back to me the next day with a one line reply. So yes, it may have something to do with whether or not they can respond to your question right away.

Best of luck, Silverbutterfly. :)
