hey everyone,

i recently had the interview with my wife on April 30th. I was told i needed a I601, where my wife had to write a letter of hardship on my behalf as I left the country on an advanced paroll a couple years back. i just checked my status on ine as we dropped off the letter last week, my status stated the following:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On May 29, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

What do you guys think that this means?? I have not yet received my welcome letter, does this mean i've been approved??

I understand this may be a silly question however, I do not need the sacarism. I have had the past 6 months of my life and my wife's life turned upside down! Things have happened to go wrong in the past and before I begin to celebrate, I want to cover all my bases and make sure that is exactly what this means before I have yet another disappointment. Forgive me if i'm skeptical but this is important to me so i don't need the nasty comments from whoever you are!

I don't think your question is silly, I have seen many people confused with the USCIS messages.

I think that "yes you are approved" and you will receive your GC soon.

As it says in your message if you don't get in 30 days call them.

thanks!! i did not mean that for you, somebody posted ask a silly question and you will get a silly answer...i probably over reacted but i got mad because i'm so excited but yet i get nervous to get my hopes up. that is why i posted it it in response to that person. thanks for your response!! i appreciate the support!

Congratulations! You were approved.

You'll probably get your letter within a week or 2. GC a week or so after. Once they mail the letter, you will most likely have an online update telling you so.

I think he saw one of the member's signature here "Ask a silly question, I'll give you silly answer" which I forgot the name, then the OP thought that he asked a silly question but just saying in advance that he doesn't wanna get a silly answer. That's just my speculation though.

Anyway, gus123, congratulations to you! Nothing to worry about cos you're approved and you'll be receiving your GC soon. Am so happy for ya!

PS. You didn't ask the silly question and if you receive sarcastic answer, just don't mind them.
