As well as logs, boarding passes, photos etc.. we understand that the addition of affidavits from certain people would be useful as possible evidence at the embassy interview in London.

What should this document contain and who can and cannot be used to provide one?

Also does it need to be notarized?

Sorry for all the questions.

These affidavits can be from essentially anyone (obviously people who know you or know you two as a couple).

There are two examples here on VJ in the Example Forms section. They do not have to be notarized but the examples have an area at the bottom for a notary public (in case you chose to do so, otherwise delete this portion).

Is there a compelling reason you feel an affidavit would be a benefit to your case?

To be honest i wouldnt worry so much about taking evidence of relationship with you to the London embassy, most people that have gone through the interview including myself took wads of the stuff and they never asked for non of it! In fact i had to ditch a musical card at the security gates because it was battery powered! But of course i'm not saying dont take anything like that because better be safe than sorry. What i'm saying is dont worry too much about bringing lots of evidence since the likelihodd they want to see it is slim.

There are others on here that can offer more advice on this matter tho

Thanks for the replies so far.

Well I'm as nervous as anything about this entire process - if anything can potentially stop us being together again I am going to worry about it.

I've read up a whole load on this site and others and I'm concerned about evidence.. so far I have a mountain of chat logs and phone records some photos (not too many with me in it - as I took the photos mostly - except at the wedding obviously).. only a couple of receipts, some cards - I'm fearful because of the reason stated earlier and the fact that throughout our relationship we weren't calculating in our attempts to "create" proof - i.e. some receipts have been shredded, lost - and I feel we don't have much in the way of photos etc.

My Husband took loads of evidence to the interview and they weren't interested at all. I wouldn't stress too much about it.
