Someone posted earlier that some people who come from a background of poverty struggle to understand that you can't spend money just because you have it. AMEN to that! I'd add that it doesn't matter what country the person is from; I know people who think like that who were born and raised in the USA.

the converse is also true. someone can express that i have something offensive to them and we can all agree to disagree

but you can't tell me i shouldn't feel the way i feel when you don't even know why i feel that way

I'm not telling anyone how to feel. I just don't understand why "I don't agree with you" and "I'm offended by you" always seem to go hand in hand. I can see not agreeing with what's in that picture. You may hate it. You may hate that the person feels that way. I just think that's different than being offended by it, or by someone elses' views. So someone feels differently than you, we all have different opinions. I'm not personally offended by anyone elses' opinions.

I have a feeling the people complaining that they are offended are only offended because they think the sig is a racial jab, not a political issue. If you're offended because the person who put that in his picture truly thinks Obama isn't doing a good job in office, you truly are a bunch of noobs. How often do you hear people crying about how "offended" they are when people make jokes about how Bush was during his time in office? If it was meant as a racial poke, I can understand your being offended, but I think we all know it was not meant as a racial slam, so I think you all need to calm down. The only time racial equality is an issue these days is when the people who think they are being wronged are overly paranoid and jumping down everyone's throats the first chance they get.
