Just a general question: I've noticed from past month's threads that Newark seems to let applicants take the oath the same day. We seem to have a good amount of Newark applicants already here. Anyone else notice this trend? For me that would be great news because I'm anticipating the interview taking place in late Sept or Oct, and I would like to ideally be done by end of Oct.

Any updates from anyone concerning bio notices?

Mine says exactly the same, so I have started a new thread to see if any previous filers were exempt. I checked the May filers and they all appear to have bio appts.

Hello all, I have a question regarding NOA 1. My letter says " upon reciept of all required record checks, you will be scheduled to appear for an interview at you local USCIS field office". My concern is that it does not say anything like " you will be sent a letter for biomartrics appointment". should i expect an appointment letter even if it doesnt say anythign about it ....

Is it normal? I had my biomatrics appointmet on 7/25/08 for removal of conditions. I dont remmber but I read somewhere that if your biomatrics is within a year of last bio appointment, there are chances of skipping this step? is this correct.

Also, I sent my package to AZ but I got NOA from Missori ....whats with that???? did you guys also get your NOA from there?

I would really appreciate the answers to my questions. :)

Yeah it's an interesting point - so there are a couple of people who didn't have to biometrics redone http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...5&hl=kleobg but it doesn't seem to be a clear pattern. My hypothesis is that people who filed to a Service Center may have not had to do biometrics again, but those who filed to a Lockbox are just automatically made to do biometrics again... It's just an idea... I really would prefer not to have to do them again, since I had such a long experience for the I751 ones, my 'disappearing' fingerprints from too much typing at work... so had to do ink and paper etc also. Gotta think my fingerprints are worse now than they were a year ago given more work... :eek:

Quick question: My wife wants to do the Name Change with the N-400. So, at Newark, she will not have the Oath Ceremony the same day.. We will have to come back another day, I guess??

I think all of the cases get processed at NBC to do all the 'background' stuff first, and then when that is complete the applications will be sent to the local office for interview. This was also my experience with AOS, everything goes to the lockbox in Chicago, and then to NBC, finally to local office for interview. Nothing to worry about, completely normal.
