My online status has changed to the following. I think Atlanta DO has finally reached June filers. Hoping to get interview letter within next 1-2 weeks.

So, Nani had her interview today. Scheduled at 9:30. We arrived 9:15. Nani was called in right at 10:00. They called me in at 10:10 and we were done and on our way at 10:15.

The officer asked her 6 questions out of the catalog, had her read and write one sentence, checked the paperwork, talked to me for a couple of minutes and said that he was happy to recommend the application for approval. He said that they have an oath ceremony on Sept 28 to which she will likely be invited. We then told him that we'll be out of town that day and he made a note to schedule her for the next available oath ceremony in October. Should be towards the end of the month. Very nice officer. Very smooth process.

We're as good as done. :D

I guess Nani was applying based on 3 years PR&Marriage right? That's why they wanted to talk to you? Did you 'front load' your application i.e. include a lot of evidence with the N400 app? My hubby is definitely coming with me (I totally need the moral support!), so I wonder if they'll talk to him, in lieu of huge quantities of bills and other evidence I'm dragging with me - just in case :P

@PRK73 and @Imzadi - so glad you are got signs of life from the case status online!! Yay, Atlanta is finally moving :) Not long now till the IL :) *watch the mailboxes* :D

Yes, she applied based on 3 years residency and marriage to a USC and that is why the officer wanted to have a quick chat with me which really was two questions I had to answer under oath: 1) Since your wife became a PR, have you ever been seperated for any amount of time for any reason? and 2) Since your wife became a PR, have you always lived together?

The evidence we sent in with the N400 was limited to joint tax records, joint bank accounts, jointly owned residence and the birth cert of our daughter. We brought itineraries of a recent trip we took and a trip we'll take soon to the interview but that wasn't even asked for.

Wannabe texan, this is so funny about your dog! :rofl: What kind of dog do you have?

I carry my booklet with me in the purse everywhere I go, thinking I might study, but it is more like a peace of mind kind of thing!

Good luck to Treyu and Wishallgood on the interviews this Friday. I wonder if they are going to ask you question # 86? BTW - Love San Jose!!!

@Tata - oh our dog is a 'SPCA special' I think a beagle/lab mix something like that:D He is a darling though - total Mommy's boy :D... We are actually fostering two other dogs right now that were going to be euthanized, and somebody contacted us late one night to see if we would take them in, since they were going to be put to sleep at 9am the next day. And they are wonderful dogs - they are both about a year old, very loving, get along with everyone including the cat :) So I've no idea why someone would dump them... One of them is a smooth coated Collie mix (think Lassie without the long hair), and the other is a gorgeous Vizla mix...

But the booklet was definitely shredded up, of course they didn't choose the other catalogs/magazines on the table that wouldn't have mattered, but only the USCIS booklet - ah well :P I do have the flashcards too, so I'm using those, but I liked the booklet to read the context. I bought a book at Barnes & Noble on clearance that details the history of the Constitution, from the discussions at the Constitutional Convention to the rationale behind all the amendments, really interesting read... for example I learned where the word 'gerrymandering' comes from (politics hasn't changed from the 1800s :))

Congratulations guys on your successful interviews! When I looked at the time line earlier this week, for some out reason I only saw 2 people having their interviews on 9/11 in San Jose, talk about "selective hearing" :rofl:

Wannabe Texan, you have such a big good heart. I admire people that are so thoughtful, helpful and caring. Good Luck on your interview next week!

My husband and I have a "bullshit" - he has an English Bulldog and I am a proud owner of a shih-tzu. And no, we are not thinking of mixing them - both girls. They are both very good dogs, funny, happy and with big personalities! Love 'em!

i got an email last september 5 stating that my application has been transferred to a local office and that i am cued for the interview, have you got the same info?

Hey guys,

Finally got my CFR letter. It has arrived since this past Monday but since I have provided one of my friend's address for all the mails, I haven't had a chance to go pick it up. But I expect it to be no different than anybody else'. If there is anything surprisingly different I will keep you posted. But since CFR is here I think the IL will arrive in a few days as well.
