Thanks InternetKafe, CColdwell, Tata and Poisontee for your well wishes! CColdwell - I'm sure the IL will be in the mail soon now... I noticed the letter took 3 days to reach me from Lee's Summit, so USPS could hustle a little too :)

I was a little worried when I saw the line 'the proceeding will take about two hours' - but it seems that's standard... Also hoping that perhaps I can make the next Oath Ceremony in Houston, which is 2 days after my interview... *fingers (and all other limbs that are possibly crossable) crossed*. Of course, my husband who's a 5th generation Texan, is completely nonchalant about the whole thing, and doesn't understand why I'm excited/jittery etc - typical :P

I will spend a lot of the next few weekends scrounging up every evidence we can muster of 'proof of marital union as well as proof of residence' that the white letter Form N-659 that came with the IL asks for...

Usually they are the 2nd Wednesday of the month, but they changed it up for a couple of months... hope this helps (F)

I think CFR means Case File Review, but the letter looks generic because the items asked to bring to the interview I have already submitted with my application (the copies anyway). I'm going to bring all the originals with me.

I received my interview letter a few days ago but the interview date is later than I expected. It is on 28th of October.And as far as I know Milwaukee does the oat ceremonies months after the interview....

I am now a US citizen.

Congrats to all those that got interview letters!

I am sooo anxiously waiting for my letter now haha. I'm not at home, so I have my sister check the mailbox every day and I think I'm definitely driving her crazy.

If this is any consolation to you (and I'm making an assumption from the 'dude' part in your user name :D ) - I've 'heard' on other forums that females clear namecheck faster than males... I don't know exactly why that is... and its probably not something to debate in a public forum; for example a husband & wife that apply at the same time, the wife will often get the IL first... so hang in there, your IL will appear soon :)

Also PD is the date they are ordering us in the queue by, not the FP date...

I couldn't resist...

What makes you think you will receive your IL in August, have interview in September and oath in October.

Be less anxious and take it easy. There's no rush to get citizenship unless you have to move abroad for work. And also putting those dates jinx the whole thing :)

Phillydude, I think Monday will be a lucky day! But at least now it does not seem that your travel plans will be interfered with the interview. I will keep my fingers crossed for you for a good Mojo :dance::dance::dance:

I am extremely curious to find out aboout Oath Ceremonies in Philly, I know I am jumping ahead of the game. But my husband and I are planning a vacation in November and I would hate to have my oath the week of our planned getaway!!! I wish I knew the dates for future oath ceremonies?!
