First of all many congratulations to all of you..wow i see a lot more progress in this thread : :yes:

I went for my FP on 7/22 instead of 7/13 so if somebody can please update that. other than I am going on vacation and hope that I will be scheduled after 8/31...

Congratulations to everyone who already received their IL.

I inquired about my status on USCIS status line and they said that my application is in queue for an interview. So as soon as they finalize the date they will send out the IL in mail. So I think CColdwell would be the first one to receive it from all the Newark filers.

That's awesome news to me! I'm going to call this afternoon to see my status. Congrats to all those who have their letters, and for the rest of us, they are on their way! :thumbs:

So I called the number, and was finally taken to second support level. I am in the interview queue yayy.

On a side note: it was a little unnerving to lie about not having the number lol

Did they tell you when your interview is going to be? What does 'being in the interview queue' mean here? Is there any way they can tell me when mine is going to be?

Thanks! They just told me that I was in the interview queue, not when the date is. Being in the queue I believe means that you have passed biometrics and your name checked out. so pretty much in a few weeks the letter will be in the mail. They can't tell you when the interview is if you're in the queue unless they've chosen a date for you and you're in the letter queue I guess. But you can try to see and call yourself. Congrats CColdwell!!! I am kind of eager for your IL, since I know I will get mine probably one week after that.

Yeah Interview Queue doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The only thing I got out of it was that since Newark is one of the busiest field offices in the country, it might take them longer to finalize the dates for individuals, since they might be trying hard to maximize their efficiency by fitting as many people as they can in every session (Just guessing here!!!)

I called them too. They told me that they will schedule an appointment, nothing about passing the biometrics or the approximate date of appointment...

yayyyy..I got my interview letter, its on september 22nd!!!!! what a relief!!! :whistle: now i ll enjoy my holidays n will be coming back on aug 31st...wow that was quick!
