It 's a terrible day. I got a new mail from VSC . The FBI was unable to process my fingerprint card. I have to make fingerprints re-taken. I don't understand why

1. It 's not my fault. My process have to stat it again .

2. The mail sent from VSC but last notice and noa1 sent from Missouri . (N -400 sent to TSC)

3. I never have fingerprint card .

Anyone know the reason why please advise me.

Hi NI-CT, sorry to hear your news.... It sounds like the biometrics (fingerprints) were not readable/processable by the FBI. This is a concern for me also, since my fingerprints are 'faint'. No, it's not your fault, just your fingerprints are like that, they can vary day by day.

The fingerprint card they are referring to in the letter is your digital fingerprinting/biometrics (it's just the old term for it).

Perhaps the next appointment you can let the people know at the ASC that there was a problem with the prints the first time, so this time they need to try extremely hard to get readable prints. And you can also do real 'ink and paper' prints - I did this last year.

If your hands are dry, I recommend a tip I got in another VJ forum, which is to buy Corn Husker's Lotion (it's about $5 from the drugstore) and use it on your hands every day, multiple times per day before the biometrics.

I will wait and see if the same thing that happened with your biometrics will happen to me... good luck for the next appointment (F)

Just came back from my biometrics. Hope it will be ok - I will call FBI tomorrow. Some of the scores were really low like 51, but the CSR said that they didn't need to do ink and paper like last year... maybe the Corn Husker's Lotion has done the trick...

Hey! I did mine yesterday too. What do you mean by call the FBI? Can anyone do that? If so, I'd like to be able to as I have always had trouble with my prints being illegible. It would put my mind at rest knowing they were OK.

Hi - sure you can call the FBI on 304 625 5590 and give them your A# and ask if your biometrics were processed successfully, they can't tell you if your namecheck etc cleared, just if your prints went through. Hope this helps (F)

Congrats Mr. Big Dog - nine must be your lucky number!!

I called the FBI this morning, they said their response had been sent back on Friday after my biometrics, so I think that means they were readable...

I did notice on my USCIS casestatus portfolio that my original I-130 and I-131 were touched a few days before biometrics. Anybody else had this happen?
