I am in shock! The dreaded/anticipated letter with my appointment arrived today. It had a white checklist letter enclosed. My interview will be on Friday 28th August and I just tried to update the list but it looked skewed again, so I will let one of you experts to do it for me,

Appointment letter says to allow approx 2 hours, need to take: appointment, green card, evidence of selective service, passport, marriage cert, Divorce cert, spouses birth cert and any originals of copies I sent with application.

Congratulations Jayde. My husband just left for his biometrics appointment. I just told him we'll have to get really serious about studying for the civics test now. Up til this point it's been for fun quizzing people when they come over and seeing who gets what correct. It's time to buckle down now and get this right.

Just came back from my biometrics. Hope it will be ok - I will call FBI tomorrow. Some of the scores were really low like 51, but the CSR said that they didn't need to do ink and paper like last year... maybe the Corn Husker's Lotion has done the trick...

Cool - good news Kashif - sure the letter will turn up in about 10 days perhaps?

Did you have to go through to an IO on the 1800 line to get that info, or was the CSR able to tell you?

Just came back from my biometrics. Hope it will be ok - I will call FBI tomorrow. Some of the scores were really low like 51, but the CSR said that they didn't need to do ink and paper like last year... maybe the Corn Husker's Lotion has done the trick...

I had my fingerprints taken today too. Why do you want to call the FBI? And what do scores mean wannabe-texan?

I am now a US citizen.

Oh I had a difficult time last year when doing biometrics, my fingerprints are extremely 'light' from typing so much at work. I'm afraid if they can't be read by the FBI, I will have to repeat them and then it will fail again, and then I have to get police clearances (big pain). So what I meant is that I will call the FBI tomorrow to ask if the FPs were 'readable' and then at least I will know if I have to redo biometrics... I don't know exactly what the scores mean, but I've seen that under 60 is not good in terms of having enough 'identifiable' features in the FP for them to match on.

Another small concern that came up for me today was they had the last digit of my social sec. number wrong... I corrected it, but hopefully it will cascade through...

I am in shock! The dreaded/anticipated letter with my appointment arrived today. It had a white checklist letter enclosed. My interview will be on Friday 28th August and I just tried to update the list but it looked skewed again, so I will let one of you experts to do it for me,

Appointment letter says to allow approx 2 hours, need to take: appointment, green card, evidence of selective service, passport, marriage cert, Divorce cert, spouses birth cert and any originals of copies I sent with application.
