I'm new and don't know how to insert my timeline here yet, but I have petitioned for CR-1 and CR-2 visas with an NOA1 date of 4/13/09, California Service Center.

My only concern is about the upcoming Affidavit of Support that will be sent to the Manila Embassy. I had more than enough income in the past years, but right now my income might be below the minimum depending on what the consular officer will look at.

I can provide my tax transcript from last year, an employment letter and most recent pay stub to show my earning ability. But, I read in some places that they might require my LAST 6 MONTHS pay stubs, which would show a drop in my average monthly income. But, if business picks up during the summertime, I might still earn enough in the second half of this year. They don't know which part of the year I earn the most part of my income.

Can anybody enlighten me how "they" judge my income level for approval of my AOS?

Will they be happy with my most recent pay stub or will my last 6 months income be important?

It might be hard for me to find a cosponsor. I am in the dark and wishing I had the money for professional advice, but maybe some kind soul will understand and share information. Somebody has recently been where I am now.

Information is power.

Really depends what the consulate wants.

If you have your tax transcript - that should be enough, you will have to wait to see what they might require.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Yes, "what the consulate wants" :help: . Thanks Bobby for the input  .

Apart from just waiting, which I'm not so good at  , I suppose there must be some place on the internet here where I could find some clues about what the USEM requires. I've read everything related I can find at the USEM website. Maybe there is some Fil/Am Community Forum where I could also post this question.

If your past years income is above the POVERTY REQUIREMENTS, then you have nothing to worry about.
