I have some questions about the Affidavit of Support. My husband's salary is not enough to do it. So we got one of his friends to be the joint sponsor. I just want to be sure that his friend needs to fill out I-864 Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act. Is it correct? His friend is not married and we don't need to fill out I864 A?

The first question In part 1 of I-864,

I am the sponsor submitting this affidavit of support because (Check only one box):

a. I am the petitioner. I filed or am filing for the immigration of my relative.

b.I filed an alien worker petition on behalf of the intending immigrant, who is related to me asmy

c. I have an ownership interest of at least 5 percent in....

d. I am the only joint sponsor.

e. I am the first or the second of two joint sponsors.

f. The original petitioner is deceased. I am the substitute sponsor. I am the intendingimmigrant's....

My question now is should I check "d" or "e"? His friend does not live with us.

Your input is highly appreciated! Thank you!

I was also wondering after I send this REF, how long does it need for me to get my EAD, I already did fingerprint. I get very frustrated to wait for the EAD. Thanks.

Your husband fills one out and the friend fills one out. Friend would check "d."
