Hey guys,

As you can see from my timeline, my fiancee failed my medical on May 12th. Well, I not sure if she actually failed, they just said that they wanted her to takes some medication for a month and recommended her to stay out of the sun and not be under the fan too often. Both are hard to do when you live is Laos. Since I don't speak my language too well, I don't really know what it was that they found. But I know that it wasn't anything that would cause a concern. I mean, she doesn't have Swine, SAR, bird flu, AIDS or TB. What can she possibly have that they recommend her to stay out of the sun and the fan? And why would this not cause her to pass her medical?

She's from Laos and she had her medical in Udorn, Thailand since the medical facilities in Laos isn't adequate. I wonder if it's just a money making opportunity for them. I'm sure they knew that she was getting her medical for her K1. Anyone in their right mind who wants to pass will follow all recommendations that the doctor tells them. She had to pay almost $100 in drugs from their facility. She has her medical again June 12th. I don't want them to say that her condition hasn't improved and that she still needs to take medication for another month when, in actuality, this is not neccessary.

My question is, and I've read the guide regarding medicals, if the doctor says what I fear that they might say, and she refuses to take medication again, can she still take the medical report to the embassy? Do they hold the report until they clear her? Can she take whatever results from them as is? Or do they send the reports to the embassy directly? How does this work?

According to the guide, it says...

"IF there are any irregularities regarding your

medical exam, it is the CONSULATE (or the USCIS if you are filing adjustment while inside the U.S.) who

has the final say on whether this allows you to get the visa. The consulate or USCIS may consult the

doctor for answers to questions they may have, and while the doctor can make recommendations, the

USCIS or consulate makes the final decision."

So I'm wondering since it's up to the consulate to make the final decision and they don't see that what she has is a big concern than they could just let it be and disregard it. She's healthy. She doesn't have any contagious diseases.

What are your thoughts? I just don't want this to be delayed another month when I don't think that we should've been delayed for this reason to begin with. Thanks
