Our New Baby .......

so gabriella bolts in the house last week like the sky was falling and says all excitedly, "there's an emergency outside!!" since i'm a nurse she seems to think that i can fix anything anywhere (probably until she hits puberty where she will then be the one that knows it all! ) but i digress!

knowing my little actress, i asked, "what's the emergency?" she blurts out, "we found a kitten in the woods!!" so now i excitedly head outside and i come face to face with the tiniest kitten!! my oldest cat is a rescued kitten, so we go to our local pet shop for a bottle, formula, and bio-degradable litter. she ate about every 4hrs around the clock ... just like a baby with those middle of the night feedings!!! *giggles*

she was so sweet and cuddly and docile ... we quickly realized the next day why she came out of the woods ... there were 4 other kittens in there too that emerged, our kitty was the runt and starving. we took in those as well for the night .... just to bottle feed them because they were all starving. we fed them again one more time the next morning before we brought them to the pet shop.

took a few days ... but we finally decided on a name for our new little girl!! Stella!!! we've kept her separated from divot and chachi until they become more familiar with her scent. we've been letting her out little by little and everyone seems to be adjusting well.

Awwww! She is adorable! Good for you for rescuing her and her siblings. I rescued 3 kittens at 10 days old 4 years ago (their mother had been killed by a dog) and bottle raised them as well. I still have the two brothers and the sister is with a friend. It is a very rewarding experience. Sounds like Stella found the right home.

awww thanks guys!! we absolutely love her to bits! i wish that they would stay small like this!! we got her a posh little house!! since she was so tiny, we would have to bring her everywhere with us the last 2 weeks just so we could feed her!

she's now been weaned off the milk and is eating solids!! *claps* and oddly enough, it's put those little baby thoughts i was having, right outta my head!!!
