But what I don't get is that the people who are against it don't realize that they can get married before God but not before the Government, isn't the religious aspect of it that most people against it are concerned about? 'Cus of what the bible say? 'cus of what they believe is moral in the eyes of God?

When 2 or more people get married in a private ceremony it can be meaningless and often times is.

State laws must be followed to make it a legit marriage, at least in the eyes of the law and society as a whole.

Bu why obey the state laws if it is something I don' feel is justified? Suppose I am against gay marriage, should I be able to shoot the people that perform the ceromonies? Like if I am against abortion, it is ok, top kill anyone who performs them, even though the law allow it? By your logic, this should be acceptable.

Perhaps if you quoted me it might be more believable.

Even if someone did believe Murder was justified in one case.... such as self defense or to stop an Abortion, it would not mean they automatically or even probably would say killing was justified in any case.

You said it was ok in the other thread, remember? How would it be justified in stoping a legal abortion?

by this logic you are saying that i can shoot an abortion doctor if abortion becomes illegal on basis of recognition of the status of the unborn child.

this ties in with state statute allowing me to act in defense of another's life.

just have to wait for the law to change, i guess. and it will.
