Sealed envelope accidentally open, Urgent Help

Hi,

I am a CR-1 applicant. I had someone to pick up my immigrant visa with the sealed envelope from Abu Dhabi, and it is supposed not to be opened according to the instructions on the envelope. Unfortunately it was accidentally opened since the guy could not take the passport's little envelope out and mistakenly opened the envelope.

Does anyone know what would be the consequence ? Should I contact the Embassy to get a new visa envelope should I send it back in order to be sealed again?

with all the means contact the embassy and talk with a supervisor and let them know abt it and what they will tell u exactly to do

By all means - get it re-sealed -

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Please contact the embassy and explain the situation and get it resealed, there will be small fee for this at the embassy. Goodluck.
