Dear Members,

my spouse was working part time and didnt paid any taxes as she was living with family. After our marriage sitation is same but not living with family, and we have applied for spouse visa. we have recd. the NOA1 recently. we dont have any relative in USA ecept a family friend.

could you guide us how my wife and our family friend can sponsor me? My wife living with them and havent paid any taxes till date.

wheather my wife has to file I864 and a family friend (Joint Sponsor) has to fill I864A? if so what should we fill in I864 form as she havent paid any taxes???

Please guide and advice on this.

What do you mean by she did not pay taxes? Did she work illegally/under the table? Or did she simply forget to file her tax return?

And please give us more information about what visa you are applying for. You posted this in the DCF forum so is your spouse living & working overseas with you at the moment?

No matter what the situation is you wife must file a I-864 herself, no ifs no buts.
