Email RFE for I-129F

I received an email stating that an RFE was issued for the I-129F. I'm not sure if it's related to any of the recent events or if it's for some other reason, but at least it's been touched. Anyone else with a similar timeframe received the same?

That is good that you got an RFE email. But I wonder, if your K-3 will be useful now, since you are in the middle of your NVC process for I-130.

I don't think K3 has anything to do with IMBRA, I was told that repeatedly by USCIS and Embassy. It must be something else:)

But that's great, at least they are starting the process- good to know:)!!!

That is really good news because to me it means that they or doing something, that K3 is moving again, that is great!!!

It'll make a difference for me. It's taking around a month to get an interview for the K-3 through Vancouver, but around 4 months for the CR-1 through Montreal. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

Hm that would be awesome....since her NOA1 date is March 24th maybe there is hope now. I wouldnt bet that the K3 is approved before the CR1 but hey if so....I would be dancing for hours

My K-3 receipt date is March 27th, a bit after yours Mrs. Whizz. This is really good news either way....even if it's not IMBRA related then it means they are not on hold! So weird, right when I was thinking that nothing would happen now my hopes are up again that maybe something will...I'll keep you posted if I receive anything.

Have not received anything yet but need to ask: do you send back the RFE by itself? Or submit the entire I-129f package again? (I thought that was the procedure for RFEs.) Anybody get any instructions?

I'm not sure what it's about. The email said the notice was mailed on the 30th. So, hopefully I will have more to report about it next week! Either way, I'm glad to see some movement on it. But, at this point, my hubby and I are still leaning towards CR1. If for no other reason than to be done with this stuff for a little while! We'll see when I get the papers and let you know how they want me to respond!

By USCIS you would mean the NCSC 1800 number which has no real idea of what is going on as they are only a call center. One should take what these operators say with a grain of salt...hence why many a time one can call and get completely different information from one day to the next on any question. Embassies/consulate posts also have little or no knowledege of what pertains to USCIS policy/regulations etc. They are flat out in many circumtances having complete knowledge of DOS regulations which they come under. Not having a go at embassy/consulate staff, just that the laws and regulations are so vast that DOS openly acknowledges this themselves.

Great to see the RFE's for K-3 petitions finally showing their face out of NBC Hoping all waiting receive them soon so that you may continue your journeys.
