If im filing an aos package but im renewing my old ead do i have to pay the fee for the ead?

2/24/2013 BIOMETRICS COMPLETED
2/27/2013 PLACED IN LINE FOR INTERVIEW
04/18/2013 INTERVIEW APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
06/12/2013 OATH CEREMONY

If you filed a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, on July 30, 2007, or after, then no fee is required to file a request for employment authorization on Form I-765. You may file the I-765 concurrently with your I-485, or you may submit the I-765 at a later date. If you file Form I-765 separately, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C, Notice of Action, receipt as evidence of the filing of an I-485.

Renewing EAD?

not free - you have to pay.

Only if you filing for a new one do you not pay.

(sorry)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

page 4 of the I-765 instructions say that you actually cannot renew your EAD if you got it from a K-1 visa, so it depends on your original status which isn't listed on your profile so i don't know if that applies for you.

it says you must apply for a new one which, with your AOS, would be free.

actually - I'm wrong - no fee required.

I was thinking replacement, not renewal.
