How many of you folks here in Visa Journey case was completed in May '09 and still waiting on Appointment letter to do medical and then interview? I felt so happy to hear "Case Completed" and thought that medical/interview would be know at most 2 weeks after. Let me know your experiences.

Depends on the embassy.

Ankara sent us an email - stating to go to their site - download all the forms, send them back, and we were given a 3 month wait for the interview.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

you most likely will not receive an appointment for the medical... that is usually applicant's responsibility to make

YMMV

My case was completed recently on May 22nd.... And I got to know only because I called NVC. I thought we would get an email... The lady on the phone said all interviews were booked for the month of June (in Mumbai) so therefore maybe in July. She did say they schedule interviews within the first 2 weeks of the month... I guess it all depends on the consulate. Hang in there.

Good luck!!!

Thanks for the information

Our case was completed on the 6th of April, we received pkt 4 on April 23rd. So it took about 2 1/2 weeks to scheduled our interview, which is June 12th. NVC schedules interview the 2nd and 4th week of every month. Hopes this helps...

Yes this info really help, thanks.
