You also don't need a SSN to get an American Express Gold Card for Delta Skymiles for an authorized user. I got 2500 points just for adding an authorized user and I added Josue before we even had our K1 approved lol!

We went to the SSN office to get a SSN for Josue (easy as pie! No questions asked) and a new one for me with my new last name! Then we went to the DMV to get me a new license and to pick up a drivers test review book in Spanish for Josue to study. Then we went to the bank to change my name on the account and order new checks with our new address and both names. I feel like I accomplished a lot today! Now I just gotta wait for the stinking tax transcript from 2006 so we can send in our paperwork! Now at least I can send it all in with the new last name

Congrats! Yes the papers are very consuming. I was very relieved when we sent ours out last Thursday. I know they received the package on Sat...now just waiting for them to cash the check. I will be waiting with you. Good Luck.

So i've been noticing some deadlines. My biggest fear is that the interview if any, will be around the time the baby is due (Yes we're expecting!!!!). Im due Oct 26th. Any chance that our interview will be before or after?

Waiting for our check too tobe cashed,then cant waiyt for the first NOA since the community college i will be taking my nursing prerequisite requires it.

How was the weekend bythe way?Hope you all had fun .We were very happy this weekend because for thefirst time in many years,the temp in Arizona were below 90 degress in june.Everybody was out and about,some jugging ,walking and just hanging out.We had a fantastic weekend.

Can't mail yet...... Went to the doctor's office and as expected, the bump for the TB Skin Test, is tested positive so I will have to do my chest X-ray on Wednesday and wait again for the report. So, we will have to wait for another week or so. My other test came back okay though

Ughh.... I am sooooo impatient! LOL..

This looks good. The only thing I included that I don't see is a bank statement, statements from my pension savings and I did include a copy of the passport with the I-765, just in case, even though it said is was not needed for the K-1.

Still in Ohio but flying back to Boston this afternoon. Our visit was great. My family really liked Balvino and kept welcoming him to the family. I think he was a little overwhelmed at times but he had a good time. It will be nice to see our kitten and be back in our own bed:)

Well I make enough to meet the 125% requirement so I skipped that whole part about Assets because the instructions said it wasn't necessary. I hope so! We are mailing today!! Finally!!

And yes, the whole "meet the family" thing can be VERY overwhelming...believe me, I did it in Guatemala with all of Josue's aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. A lot to handle at once!
