WOW! I am very happy for you! What a feeling to not have to worry about USCIS for awhile! Interview dates are moving along and we have had 2 GC approvals on transfers. I wasn't too far behind you on transfer, hoping it comes soon!

Good news and bad news today. The good news is that Bella's interview appointment letter arrived today. The bad news is that it is scheduled on August 28th, 4 days after the kids' appointments. :wacko:

Looks like I will be on the phone with them again tomorrow. :bonk:

I made an official inquiry today with customer service regarding Bella's missing interview appointment letter. They still said it was probably in the mail but they would make an inquiry and respond by Aug 30th, a week after the kids interview appointments. :unsure:

Just make sure she goes to the interview just in case they decide to interview her too!!!

It is more good than bad news!! Congrats, but it would be nice to take care of it all at once.

Well it is not quite as simple as it seems at first glance. They obviously can't interview a 2 year old, so of course Bella will attend the kids' interview on the 24th and be prepared to be interviewed herself. But Bella needs an interpreter, so that needs to be arranged in advance and we will all make the fairly long drive to the kids' appointment on the 24th. If they complete all the interviews great, but if they don't then we need to repeat the entire process on the 28th, which is asking a lot of the translator. The other scenario is that on the 24th they say that we have to reschedule everyone because they don't have times available to do the kids on the 28th which could put us at the bottom of the list. That could result in an interview appointment in October.

So, rather than wait until the 24th to deal with this I called USCIS again this morning asking them to please consolidate the three appointments on either the 24th or 28th. However, given that the USCIS representative could do nothing other than request a reschedule (please allow 45 days for a response) and refused to take the kids' information I am not optimistic. I have no confidence that they are going to do anything other than request a reschedule for Bella which could result in a much later appointment date for all three or worst case scenario a reschedule for only Bella which will only delay things more and not solve anything.

I try to be optimistic but at this point I have enough experience with USCIS to justify some pessimism. It is so frustrating to deal with the bureaucracy. They made the initial error of separating the cases but they refuse to pick up the phone and talk to the local office to get things resolved. :ranting:
