Oh absolutely I now what you're talking about!! Right now it is really hard to get that entry-level position in a corporate world, because a lot of people with experience are willing to compete for these jobs as well. I recommend your hubby to read the book: "What color is your parachute?" 2009 edition, gives a lot of helpful tips on where and how to look for jobs, and prepare for the interviews. But I don't know what kind of jobs you guys are looking at?

Glad to see everyone's progress with APs, EADs, and Interview dates!!!! Hopefully I will join you soon!

So far still no news for me in the last two weeks...

If you are looking for entry level type of jobs...if he is bi-lingual he really has a leg up at the moment, everyone wants bi-lingual employees.

Has anyone done any travelling since arriving in the US? I mean travelling inside of the US, before AP/EAD/AOS has been approved but after filing? My husband is flying to DC next month and we're wondering if he'll have any trouble using his passport as his "government-issued id" due to his expired I94. He doesn't have a state ID.

Thanks panna.

DavChels...the spreadsheet looks good. I have one concern though, on my interview letter, they put my 'priority date' as the date they received my application [05/26]. So in case you are keeping track of how long its been, i think you should start counting from the day they received your application, and not the date you received your NOA.

We just got our letter today for the transfer, and it says "receipt date June 17, 2009" which is our NOA date, so if it's ok with everyone else I think we should leave the spreadsheet sorted by NOA date.

Congrats amberdima, fast response! When does Dima's I-94 expire?

He shouldn't, just make sure he takes the NOA for the I-485 with him in case they ask if he is in the process of adjusting status.

The mailman brought a surprise today: Interview NOA's for the kids but not for Bella. The appointment is for August 24th, at 2 different times. There have been no emails or touches regarding this.

I assume Bella's interview NOA is in the mail, but the 2 different times for the kids' appointments concerns me a little. I assumed that they kept the applications together and the interview appointment would be the same for all three. I hope they did not somehow separate the kids' applications from Bella's.

I also just noticed that on the I-485 NOA's for the kids, the A# has been changed to a new number. On the I-131 & I-765 NOA's for the kids the A# remained the original # (which is the number that is on their I-94's and is the same as Bella's #). This seems strange although it did not cause any problems at biometrics. Can someone with kids please check their NOA's and see if the A# for your child was also changed on the I-485 NOA?

Thanks!

Bill

Wow, congratulations! That IS really soon, I am happy for you guys! As far as I know, for some people they are told right after the interview that they have been approved, and they just need to wait for the GC to get in the mail, otherwise the decision is made within 1 or a couple of days. I might be wrong, but that's what I have seen from other people in this forum who applied earlier than us.

Bill y Bella, congratulations!

Hopefully everyone else will get their interview letters soon, including me  I really want to know, so I can finally book the ticket to Ukraine already

I flew from NYC to Vegas in June and was totally fine. I used my Canadian driver's license. He shouldn't have a problem using his passport though.
