Quick question, I orginally had my biometric appointment scheduled for July 9th and today 7/1/2009 I received a letter of appointment cancellation from USCIS without a reschedule date. Has this ever happened to anyone ?

Is this anything I should be concerned about ?

I just read on the thread that it is a software update. Very interesting. I hope it doesn't slow things down for anyone. I am happy that some are getting transfers and I hope it means no interview. No news here. No touches or letters. My original Biometrics appointment was on the 10th of July but no letter about a cancellation. Your right Leo Feng it is very quiet...No news is good news?

Hello June Filers,

I am new to posting on here, but certainly not new to VJ. I have been around for about a year (lol), just haven't posted. My husband posted a couple questions not long ago but thats it. We have now sent I-130, I-485 and I-765 off, check was cashed yesterday but showed up today in bank. My receipt number appears to start with USC, does that sound right? If so what does that stand for?

Thanks

Hello Jennifer.

I think USC is incorrect. Probably VSC

MSC = Missouri Service Center (aka National Benefit Center)

VSC = Vermont Service Center

CSC = California Service Center

NSC = Nebraska Service Center

TSC = Texas Service Center

Try on USCIS.gov to see if the number is valid.

Always remember to add a few more numbers at the end. For example, if your reads VSC12345678 try 78, 79, 80. Sometimes what you see at the back of the check isn't necessarily the actual receipt number. Who knows why.

Interesting. Our receipts have MSC but we live in California...I guess they don't assign the service centers by proximity.

K-1 was based on proximity, but only sent to either CSC or VSC. All of the AOS go to MSC and then get transferred (usually) to local offices...unless you're lucky enough to get transferred to CSC, then most likely you won't have an interview.

Today they cashed our check, but I can't see it online yet, so I haven't checked for NOAs online yet.

Hopefully I'll get something in the mail shortly.

Congrats on getting transferred to CSC! Now another question;do we have to pay the $80 for biometrics? I thought it was included with our $1010 app. fee?

It is the app. fee is $930.00 and the biometrics fee is $80.00, which equals $1010.00.

I just got an email at 7:45 stating that our case was transfered to Cali. Someone is working late. Now I am really curious about what this means. How many of you, that got transfers, sent in evidence regarding proof of your relationship? I did not send in proof myself but considered pulling some stuff together. Good Luck to all still waiting to hear.\

Does this mean no RFE?

We haven't got transferred yet, but we didn't sent proof either - it's not included on the VJ list or in a book that I bought about family visas. We'll see what happens!

The additional proof was something I considered last minute because I saw that people from pervious months had included some in their packets. I did a little research and a few people have had RFEs once they are transfered but very few have interviews. Regardless I am just relieved to have some sort of action on our case. I hope more good news is emailed out this coming week.

It looks like the file was transferred once again...

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office.
