Ok. I received my NOA on the *second* application. Sure enough, I'd been assigned two different A numbers. Ugh!

An officer over the phone suggested at this point I make an infopass appointment to request consolidation. I already have an appointment for June 23.

Hello June AOS filers. I would like to join your group as well.We finished gathering all the documents last week and our lawyer sent it off. We are still waiting on NOA1 but the check hasn't cleared yet so it might take a few more days. I was wondering if any of you guys had SSN before. I had been working in US before and I have my SSN already. Do I need to change the card or not really?

Welcome! About the SSN. I think you just need to make an appointment with your local SS office and update them about your situation. I think the national toll free # is 1800 772 1213. You may just need a new card...who knows.

Thank you. I wanted to ask you. Your BIO is set for 06/27. Was your appointment time/date shown on the first NOA or did you receive that on a separate letter after you got the first NOA?

I have been reading about people getting RFE for not having the full medical after waiting too long. I am almost considering paying for another full medical just to move forward.

a. You are not required to have another medical

examination as long as your Form I-485,

Adjust Status, is filed within one year of your

overseas medical examination

b. You will, however, be required to complete Part

1, Information about you, and submit the

vaccination section of Part 2 with your

adjustment of status application. A designated

civil surgeon must complete the vaccination

section and Part 5, the Civil Surgeon's

Certification.

I did figure out the vaccination situation but there were a few doctors that had no clue about the K-1 visa requirements for the medical. I had those papers with me with all the appropriate sections highlighted. One doctor read them out loud in front of me and still claimed that they needed to do the entire medical to sign off. It was so frustrating. Once I found the right doctor it was easy. People should be aware of these sections. There is also a small section in the instructions for the I-485.

It is very frustrating and costly. All of the local CS's insisted they had to do the physical and that was a minimum of 250.00. Dr. Arnold took good care of me.

We took our chances on assuming the medical will be forwarded like it's supposed to and just send the DS-3025 with the vaccinations he received in Guatemala. Hope it works!

Checked progress through USPS....sent via Certified Mail so was able to track progress on Internet via the USPS website.

Looking at other AOS filers from previous months a lot get Biometrics appointments approx 1 month after they have mailed in.

Good question. I need the appt I know that. I'm anxiously waiting for a letter that says when to go. So far, I haven't received it. The first NOA for the *first* application came out on the 10th.. It's been 7 days and haven't received a notice to be fingerprinted.

I guess it varies. We already received our appointment for the 30th of June. It sucks that we can't just walk in and get it done though.
