Hi everyone, we may be joining you.

We were married April 11th and have been using a lawyer since our case is sort of complicated. We just got a notice from our lawyer that my husband needs to submit a vaccination supplement.

I have a question--my husband already had his complete medical and all vaccinations before he even came here. He handed it all in at the point of entry. Does he really need to do anything else? I've been looking at this in the FAQ--

If the beneficiary's vaccinations were COMPLETED as part of the visa process, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO INCLUDE FORM I-693 IN THE AOS SUBMISSION. All your medical information is enclosed in the brown envelope which was handed in at the POE. The envelope is then forwarded on to USCIS where it will be consolidated with the I-485 submission, once received. If you received a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet (Form DS-3025) from your Panel Physician, you may include a copy of that form in your AOS submission in place of Form I-693.

Sounds to me like the USCIS will take what he gave them and consolidate it. Am I right or wrong? Or just confused.

This is interesting news. I have wondered where all the paperwork I have submitted has gone. I like to think they are that organized. If I was in your situation I would listen to the information you posted but I would state in the cover letter that you submitted the full medical information at the POE and that your husband's medical info is complete. Most people on this form and others have the DS-3025 or the vaccination supplement. Congrats and welcome!

Thanks for the welcome. We hope to be filing for AOS this month. I got that quote from the FAQ at the top of the forum. It WOULD be comforting to think that they actually KEPT the information they took from us, wouldn't it.

AOS Package delivered to PO Box Saturday, June 13th. Hopefully they will pick it up and start processing first thing Monday morning.

I saw that, and I only submitted DS-3025. I have seen some cases on VJ where they are issued an RFE because the forwarded medical was lost, but I decided to take my chances since I also read that the EAD isn't dependant on that, and that's the main thing for us right now - work! It does make it sound optional, so if you dont have that either I dont forsee a big problem. Again, each case is different.

Hoping to get the green postcard from the certified mail back today. It should have at least been received by now but we haven't got the card back with the signature yet. How did some of you get immediate notice? Did they give you a tracking #?

Yeah, express mail gives you a tracking number that starts with EB XXX, certified mail is 7009 XXXX.

I heard from people that USPS tracking info is not so accurate and they couldn't be more right... for example:

the online tracking info for the express mail package to USCIS was updated within an hour of a scan which is pretty good.

However, I sent a letter to the IRS using certified w/ delivery confirmation (green postcard) and the tracking still hows as accepted by my local post office. I got the green postcard on Friday. Go figure.

Can't wait for the mail today.

And it turns out I got today my NOA too. But... problems.

The NOA I got are for the I-130/I-485 my lawyer sent. I fired him because he was completely careless and irresponsible and though he claimed he sent the package he never provided me with a receipt, delivery confirmation or anything that proves mailing.

Now on my NOA it says "RECEIVED DATE" JUNE 5. I know these aren't mine because mine were received JUNE 10.

The lawyer put a stop payment on the check for $1365 on JUNE 10, the day these notices were mailed out.

What would happen now? Does anybody know?

USCIS has received a new package after my lawyer's with my own personal check.

Will they return the whole application to him when they discover they cannot really fund the check he provided?

Will they keep the application and add my package to the sloppy paperwork he sent?

Will they return mine and keep his?

Help...

Hmmm...not sure. Once they figure out the check didn't go through I'm sure they'll return the whole package. Your new one may not even get in with that mix so you may be ok. Just be careful with your bank account since you wrote 2 checks for the same amount...or did the lawyer write the check that had the stop payment?

Hmmm...not sure. Once they figure out the check didn't go through I'm sure they'll return the whole package. Your new one may not even get in with that mix so you may be ok. Just be careful with your bank account since you wrote 2 checks for the same amount...or did the lawyer write the check that had the stop payment?

The lawyer wrote his own company check for the whole amount (1365).

I sent 3 from my own bank, one for the I-130, one for the I-485 and a separate one for the biometrics (just in case).

Chelsea I think you can probably add my name twice...

For the first application: RECEIVED 06/05, NOA ISSUED 06/10, RECEIVED 06/15

For the second app... RECEIVED 06/11, NOA ISSUED ???, RECEIVED ???

I think I may end up calling USCIS to explain...

My husband wrote a wrong date on the check the first time we sent our packet in May , the packet was returned to us and we had to resend it in June. May be you can try to book infopass before the send the whole package to the sender, which in your case is your lawyer.

Thanks for the advise! I didn't catch your name... I'm slowly getting to know everyone here.

I called CIS right now and a very helpful lady told me that "while you may legally issue a stop payment on a check, fees are owed regardless of whether the application is withdrawn, canceled, denied or approved or whether services where provided or not".

Meaning... even though the application is canceled we still have to pay $1365. I panicked for a second when she said that. But then it made sense... my "second package" will tie along with the first and my checks will fund the first application. It's somewhat confusing but if the system works and I'm lucky it should all be ok at the end.
