Hey everyone!

I just thought I'd join this thread since we filed for AOS (along with EAD and AP) on June 24, 2009 - better late than never! My husband had his biometrics appointment on July 21.

As of now, we are just waiting and, according to our online case portfolio, everything is still sitting at the National Benefits Center in Missouri. This is normal, right?

No email from CRIS yet, nor via anything post, except for 2 online "touches" on July 22.... :clock:

Hope everyone is doing well and that all this anticipation will come to close soon. Congratulations to everyone who's been approved and are one step closer on their journey!

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!




At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

Bella received an Employment Authorization Card with an expiration of August 2010 in the mail a few minutes ago. :) I am off to the motor vehicle agency to see if they will accept the card as proof of her legal status and FINALLY let her apply for a drivers license. :bonk:

We are also looking for a Spanish interpreter for the GC interview. The friend we were counting on does not seem eager to do it. I suspect she does not want to go within a 100 miles of a USCIS office. :whistle:

Jeremy took the EAD to the DMV yesterday and had no problem getting a California ID. A few moths ago they turned him away but this time they gave it to him...only had to wait at the DMV for 2 hours tho :P

Congrats to all again. Balvino is very excited to get his DL. Now that I know everything is in the mail he can do that soon. I also received, yet another email regarding his GC. It says that 'Approval notice sent' on the 13th. I think this must be his GC.
