Hello everyone. I have been reading some of the post here and I was wondering if you have any info or have any thoughts on my case. On July 10th I received this :

On July 10, 2009, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location

Then on July 18th

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office

So my question is: Is this mean that my case is now in the Atlanta local office? I haven't heard for a case transferred to California Service Center and then back to a local office.

Any thoughts on the matter are much appreciated.

Congratulations to everyone who got approved for their EAD/AP. Good luck further :thumbs::thumbs:

I'm a bit surprised about that. What industry are you in? Are you getting interviews and then they are offering you a job, but then turning you down when you don't have the work permit? I mean technically speaking a person going for a new job has to give their old job notice, so it's not like most people can start immediately anyways.

I am upfront about not being able to work on my job applications, and some obviously haven't contacted me, and some have. I know that if I'm a fit they can wait 2-4 weeks...

Infopass appointment went well. The drive turned out to be much shorter than I thought and we did not have to wait at all to speak to someone. They quickly corrected the scheduling problem and changed the kids' interview appointment to the same day and time as Bella's. We are now firmly scheduled for August 28th @ 1:38 pm. Seems like a strange time to start an appointment but we'll take it! :) They did not print new NOA's but instead printed out a letter for the kids that said "due to circumstances beyond our control we need to change your appointment date....". So we will use the new letters and the original appointment letters to gain access.

Congratulations to everyone who received good news today. It seems that the AOS process is going much more quickly than the I-129F.

Oh, one more thing. I asked the clerk since we were all there, wouldn't they like to go ahead and interview us today and get it over with? (I figured the chances of them saying yes were minus zero, but why not give it a try?) He laughed so hard I thought he was going to fall out of his chair.

Congrats to all the approvals...

Nothing here. Not even a touch.

I got offered a job through a friend's parents but had to turn it down because they needed someone by mid-august and it's looking like I won't be getting my card soon.

Frustrated, like others. :ranting:

Read back in the forum and I think you will see that others transferred to California received the second letter also. Double check that the wording of the second letter is the same but I think you are good to go and possible on your way to a quick non interview approval.

The first one is the notice that you were transfered to the Cali office. Congrats!

The second is a notice that the Cali office has your case.

I was transfered and received the same notices.

Before i left to come here i started the networking ... even on some of my visits here i visited some places and told them i was interested and also have some personal contacts here that can hire me .. when i did arrive i made it known i was here but that i couldnt work right away but was still interested... then all went quiet because i knew i had to wait and just let it settle .. and to my surprise they started calling. And it's not the industry i do have quite a good resume built up but i am in manufacturing .. jobs are out there .. but manufacturing jobs are not ones to be advertised alot especially in a factory where every employee knows someone who needs a job. all except one offer came from contacts that were made while i was still living and working in Canada

I know the feeling. I just looked and there was a touch on my AP yesterday. I am assuming that means they put it in the mail. All other applications are the same. Good Luck to all and Congrats again marry.

This is really strange, you and I got approved for EAD and AP at the same day, and since reading your post I checked USCIS and I had a touch on AP yesterday as well!! Glad to see some movement!

Congratulations to everyone on their progress, we are moving along quite well!!

Congrats to you!!
