Hi everyone! I'd just like to let you all know about the good news I got today. :) I checked the mailbox and there was a mail on a plain white envelope but the address was from Lee's Summit, MO. I felt weird at first coz usually there's a USCIS logo in every letter that I get from them. So to cut the chase, I opened it and it was my EAD card!!!

i got an email saying that card production was ordered last July 10th, and it took only 8 days for me to receive the card. that was pretty fast coz usually it takes about 14 days to a month to get it for others.

God is really good.......................

I think USCIS is doing a pretty good job right now.. it was a speedy process for my EAD. I just hope for the best with my AOS..

I am just so happy now.

On Monday, I'm gonna go to SSA to apply for SSN. :) its going to be a busy monday for me coz as early as 830, i have to be at my doctor's clinic to have my records updated and then after that head straight to SSA and at 3pm i'm gonna see a doctor accredited by USCIS for the I-693. :)

I didn't get no RFEs for I-693 but just to make sure if they ask about it on the interview, there's something I can show them. I only submitted the I-693 together with my DS-3025 but I left the certification part blank. lol i hope i won't get in trouble.

have a great weekend fellow AOS June filers :)

Our local office (or at least what I think is our local office - on the USCIS website for our Zip code it says "Washington Office, Fairfax, VA" but there's no Fairfax, VA office listed in their drop down menu for local office processing times) says November 11, 2008...but that seems so long ago! Either way, hope things continue moving! Yay for tomorrow being another work day!

So, does everything think going early for their biometrics actually speeds things up?

My appoint is on Aug 4th, but I can walk to my office in less than 5 minutes so I was thinking about trying to go early... but will 2 weeks really make a difference?

My husband says just to wait my turn...

I don't think it speeds things up...from what I can tell. I don't feel like I cut in line . If your that close I see no harm in asking but the waiting is nothing like the first part of the journey. I would have waited if I wasn't moving two hours further for the summer.

^^ yeah looks from your timeline it doesn't really speed things up.

That would really be my only reason. I think I'll just wait. The approvals seem to come really fast after the biometrics, so I'll just wait my two weeks and enjoy my time in immigration limbo!!

I'm amazed at how fast the days are going!! I can't believe it's already July 20th!!
