I follow instructions on that page and dont remember i need to bring any copy of the passport, letter or photos. It is all online, you will need to upload the photo when you apply GOC online. Passport number MUST be correct, and print the acknowledgment form when you going to collect it fro their office. However,I am not sure is that same for Foreigner. I believe the website will explained.

Good Luck & Cheers

Thanks! I just got the form notarized at the UPS store tonight anyway. im gonna mail the fiancee the form and other evidence anyway so i figured why take the risk. Only $10 lost anyway even if they don't want it notarized.

Hey y'all! We're currently in our NVC-waiting phase of the K1 visa, and I've got a few questions for you visa veterans:

  1. What should I expect at the medical examination (cost, types of exams, etc.)?
  2. Do I need to use the same passport photo throughout all my forms? As I've read somewhere that the photo needs to be current (within 6 months?) but by the time I would need to prep/submit more photos for the interview and the medical, it would have been over that time frame already.
  3. If I've previously been denied a B2 tourist visa (twice! :(), would this affect my K1 application? Especially the interview bit, as I was previously denied because they didn't think I would return to Malaysia, i.e. "insufficient evidence".
  4. What's the general timeframe between NVC sending the packet over to the embassy here, and y'all actually going for the interview (and getting the visa)? We're hoping to be back in the States by late November!

Would appreciate any and all :help: we can get. Thanks guys!

Hey everyone we're currently about to start off on our K1 visa application and was wondering if anyone could be of any help to us.

We are both currently residing in OZ which is where we met as colleagues, after 2 years of working together we began dating and have been engaged for 2.5 yrs. Our questions are,

  1. If anybody could advise us on whether we should be having our interview here in OZ (third party country) or if we would be better off having our interview in Malaysia?
  2. Could we just start off our K1 application from here in OZ and head to Malaysia for our interview?
  3. Would an application for B2 visa denial in OZ 2 years ago affect our K1 visa application?

Would appreciate any help and advice we could get from fellow VJ members so we could get our K1 application started off and fingers crossed start settling down back in the states if everything goes well.

Thank you.

Hi all,

I want to ask does anyone made payment through the EFT payment for the K1 visa?

I got the unique account number, but I didn't get any notification indicating that they have received the payment.

I got my packet 4 and there's this instruction saying that I should bring a printout of a transaction slip of some kind after I register my account on ustraveldocs. But I didn't get any slip when I opt for Home Delivery, what should i do?

I have emailed the embassy regarding these but I haven't gotten any replies...so what should i do?? :(:(:(:unsure::unsure:

Hello there! I AOSed from H-1B!

Wow, looking at your timeline you got your AOS done in under three months! Too bad that's no longer the case. Meanwhile I'm just gonna sit back and relax and let the time ticks and enjoy not working and be a stay at home husband.
