I'm sure it is on the way to the Malaysian Embassy by now. When you get packet 3 can you tell me what's in it? I'm not sure if it's still the same because in some embassy, they changed the form to DS-160.

The embassy already has our package. they received it on 11th. Another Malaysian member already told me that the third packet contains the ds-230 and have to complete the ds-160 online

You will need the interview date before you can schedule for medical. Have you applied for your COC?

Thanks JP and Tee. I did call the hospital in Kuching, Sarawak and yes they can do the medical examination without the appointment letter as long as I have the case number. So I scheduled my medical on 04 September 2013.They asked me to bring a photo, valid passport and the case number.biggrin.png

I am hoping it will be the same panel clinic! I'll be going there as well...

Hope someone will reply to this. Which address did you return your Packet 3 to? Was it

P.O. Box 10035

376 Jalan Tun Razak

50700 Kuala Lumpur

or

376 Jalan Tun Razak

50400 Kuala Lumpur

?

Both of these addresses were incorporated with our packet 3 so we are a little confused and it is not calling hours for the US embassy right now. We'd like to get it sent back :)

Hi, sorry I didn't know the answer to this. Which one did u eventually send it to?

I have a few questions too..

The certificate of good conduct, do you need to take a copy along to the interview?

The birth certificate, my dad's name is printed wrong, will it pose a problem during the interview? Do I have to change it? :( also, the new birth cert, the english translation only apply to the description, eg. Jantina (gender): PEREMPUAN. Is that ok?

I think that's about it for now...

Thank u :)

We contacted the Embassy, and they told us to send it to the one with the PO BOX

Yes, you need the original certificate of good conduct. you do not send it back in packet 3

As for the birth certificate issues, I'm not sure. I would email them. They are pretty good at replying withing a couple of days. Email klconsular@state.gov

Make sure you include both the petitioner and beneficiary's names and birthdays and your case number.

Hi JP and Tee

Thanks for taking time to answer my query.

That is what I thought but on the day of my medical at KL Clinic doctor told me that he will be sending the reports directly to Embassy and I shouldn't worry about coming back and collect any report. That sound weird and when I refereed to the instructions on the Packet 4 medical sheet he said these are old instructions .

I am getting curious if this is normal in case of medical done at KL clinic for everyone or there is some problem .

Hi nanraj, I read that your visa was approved! Congrats!

So I'm assuming there was nothing wrong with your medical report, considering I just had mine in KL and they told me they'd deliver it to the embassy (and had to pay RM10 for the delivery).

I was getting nervous and stressed out thinking there might be something wrong with me cause the instructions in Packet 4 said that the reports will be given to the applicants, except for those with Class A or Class B conditions ...

Anyway, on another note, does anyone know whether US Embassy in KL accepts co-sponsor for K-1 visa? I know that it's a bit too late to ask (my interview will be on the 19th Nov!) and I do know what Manilla doesn't accept co-sponsors for K visas.....but...yeah. crying.gif

So. here I am coming to the rescue!!!

This email is directly quoted from the reply that I got from the embassy.

"Thank you for your email. There is no specific limit to meet for a K1 application. However, the petitioner must complete the I-134 form as the sponsor. If the petitioner does not have any income, you must have a co-sponsor with income and complete another I-134 form. Thank you."

As of how old is this email? This email is sent to me on October 21st. I asked them about the poverty line be 100% or 125% and about co-sponsors. This is what I got from them.

Really hope that helps you! good luck on your interview and remember to write back about your experience!

OMG thank you so much! You're a life saver!

I have both I-134 for my sponsor and co-sponsor, was just panicking cause I read that Manila/Nigeria don't accept co-sponsors.

and LOL @ them not answering your question.

I think it's 125% above the poverty level since you need to have 125% when filing for AoS later (either for main sponsor or co-sponsors)

And if I'm not mistaken, 100% above poverty level is for active duty military personnels only.

Anyone have a soft copy of recent P3? with DS-160 and DS-260 form

This might not help much, but here's a snapshot of one of the instructions included in P3:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/465273-ds-260-or-ds-160-since-both-of-them-were-written-on-my-p4/

They didn't attach the forms, instead they asked us to complete it online.
